Porcupine Tree - Buying new soul

Great song. A fan since Voyage 34. Though it can not be categorised as Prog, this is really great music

Hello, it's me again.

Right now, listening to, the legal version of course, Pink floyd at Live 8. The track played is Money at this moment.
great performance, except for the singing qualities of Mr. R. Waters. What did he drink before the show...? :o

I listened to IQ - Dark Matter twice yesterday. And I think I'll keep it up today. There's something about this disc that makes it feel just about too heavy to lift out of the cd player.... I'd rather it stayed in there, if you get my meaning. I've actually opened the "drawer"(?) on the player, looked at the disc, and hit the open/close button again, without removing the cd.

I must like the album.... OR, it's just too heavy to lift... ;D ::) :D

It is a killer album indeed. Played it a few hours ago. Want to order 'The Seventh House' as soon as I have saved money. So much to wish :-\.

I agree with you.  Dark Matter is one of my favorite Cds.  I hope they come out with something else soon.

I do rate "Ever" and "Subterranea" higher, but that doesn't mean anything outside the irresistible comparing of albums. In it's own right, DARK MATTER is the dogs bollox. :)

Can't get enough of this: Enchant - Monday.
Really great band, in my view a bit underestimated here in Europe.
But hey, i could be wrong... ;D

Well, I really like them. Bought all the albums since the first one (which I've subsequently re-bought with the bonus demos disc) and have enjoyed every one. Got the live DVD too but not had chance to play it yet  ;D

The band always remind me of Rush too  :)

Myself and Hoggie have also been listening to the Believe samples.  Have you had a look at the "progumentary" of the making of the album as well?  Quite amusing in places and very informative, especially if you are a musician.

As for Wounded Land, anything by Threshold comes highly recommended from us here at the Proglair.  I had to order Wounded Land as well, due to its total non-availability in mainstream musical emporia like HMV and Virgin.

Enjoy your new listening experiences and have funs!  We too can't wait for our copy of Believe to come through the letterbox!

Progumentary: Not seen yet. Have to install Realplayer, only have Windows Media player. But I will certainly see it.

Threshold: I have ordered 'Wounded land' because Damian Wilson is such a great singer. I got this recommendation. On 'Extinct Instinct' Damian also does the vocals, but they say 'Wounded land' has stronger melodies.

Thanx and enjoy 'Believe' too.

IQ takes a long time between releases. Usually 3-4 years.

Genesis - Foxtrot....

S'trewth....I'd forgotten how long it takes for convenient bathroom-breaks to arrive...

Maybe pints were smaller in those days...

...or maybe Record Players played the LP Albums faster than CD Players play the Remasters these days...

Or am I just getting old...?

Or just drinking more...?
