Heh yes indeed, the question mark in flames. Smoke actually, but yeah.

I was listening to Arena - Fool's Gold from the Pride album. I begin to like that album more and more. It was always the less-greatest album of Arena.
The 6th best studioalbum, if you will. ABSOLUTELY, AMAZING, GREAT album, but the worst of Arena in my opinion. ;D
But now, finally it becomes even better (still the 6th best studioalbum, dunno why).

Because of Jem Godfreys weblog I was listening to Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah.

THESE guys have made it to the finale of Eurovision!! It would be SOOOOOO good to vote for them just to show the others to **** off. LOL

Officially those aren't Frost-songs right? Does anyone know from whom they are?
It sounds nice, not very good, but it's relaxing music! (Better than Lordi (see previous post)).

Hehe yeah I did. :D..The DVD and the CD's will both be shipped to me at the 17th of Juni  *horns* (almost another month of waiting... :'( )

I don't know, I've downloaded them from http://www.f-r-o-s-t.com/. Especially "Sandman" is an earworm. Can't get it out of my head!

Phil Collins - Testify - It's Not Too Late

Hey guys (and girls), I have something to tell. :P
I work in a supermarket, and we close at 20:00 hours, but most of the time we work 'till 21:00
Last Thursday my boss told me that he hated the music played in our supermarket and he said that I could bring some of my own music.
So now I want to burn a CD full of an hour of Prog, but the prog-music must be good to listen to for the beginner. ;D

Some sort of poppy prog...

My question to you is: what music should I put on it?

I have already some in mind, but you can add what you think is good poppy prog!
1. Kino - Perfect Tense (Picture)
2. The Urbane - Time After Time (Glitter) (Of course they know this one and most will like this)

I was even thinking about putting Frost - Black Light Machine on the end as a surprise, hehehehe. ;)

That picture reminds me of a movie. Spinal Tap.

I fear that this has got nothing to do with music.  :-\

WOW, coool, I also work at a supermarket but out here they turn the music off at 20:00  :'(
personally i don't like the music that is played during my work...

QuoteMy question to you is: what music should I put on it?
Perfect Tense is really a good choise..
and maybe you should also burn Losers' Day Parade too on that disc...for those who like the hard stuff more   :)
hint: Do not let them listen to Kino - Swimming In Women... not that that song isn't good..but it would probably raise many questions  ;D

Me neither.

Hehehe.

No, not Losers' Day Parade, it's too proggy and too long.

Now I have:

01. Blackfield - Blackfield (Blackfield), this could be played on a radio, easily.
02. Kino - Leave A Light On (Picture), I'm not sure on this one, maybe it's to heavy.
03. Kino - Perfect Tense (Picture), ProgPopsong.
04. Marillion - Map Of The World (Anoraknophobia), but I think most will say the music is OK, but the singer sings strange. (And they're right in some way)
05. OSI - Better (Free), VERY HEAVY, but to compensate. Still not sure though...
06. OSI - Free (Free), same as above.
07. Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes (In Absentia), Hmmm... Very good, but there are so many heavy bits in it, that I'm not totally sure.
08. Porcupine Tree - Lazarus (Deadwing), of course.
09. Stream Of Passion - Out In The Real World (Embrace The Storm), because they watch TMF.
10. The Urbane - Immaculate (Neon), got to get rid of the extra verse and the guitarsolo at the end somehow, but maybe not, it's a cool song.
11. The Urbane - Time After Time (Glitter), they know this one from Cyndi Lauper, so this is gonna be a sing-along in our supermarket, LOL.
12. Within Temptation - Memories (Silent Force), because it's a very good popsong in the vein of, say, Celine Dion. But still better.
13. Frost - Black Light Machine (Milliontown), as a big nasty surprise! I'll get fired for this one though...

What do you think of it? Is this OK? Or what would you put on a CD for Poppy Prog?
Sorry for hijacking this topic. :D

Oh, and I'm now listening to Dream Theater's Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence, CD 2. ;)

Cyborg-Frask

good choices pH

I doubt that they would like Porcupine Tree - Lazarus Deadwing tho...but he..they should like it  ;)

Naughty Micha!  ;) They were hidden for a mate of mine to download. You must've had a good look around the directory then. I've deleted them now. I think.

Anyway, "While You Were Sleeping" is by Human Radio from their never released 2nd album. Sandman is by Roger Manning ex oif Jellyfish. It's from his new i-tunes only album. It's brilliant isn't it?

Anything else you found in there? :)

Cheers,

Jem

Sorry Jem,

I followed your BLM link and found the directory with a lot of soundfiles. Sandman is deleted now, but I took the chance to download it... and - I swear - only for personal use !!

Cheers, Michael

LOL  ;D

just another note: That lordi that was on Jem Godfreys weblog...guess what..

THEY HAVE WON...whahahhaa

You have no idea how hard that made me laugh. It's really insane tho...I think it shows that all the countries that were able to vote are just SICK of the european songfestival...and they just want to make fun of it...

Just like the guy (Paul de Leeuw) made fun of it when he had to tell what the Dutch people had voted  :D

I'm wondering what kind of effect this stuff may have on future festivals...

And right now i'm listening to: trebble (dutch band) i've never heard this song before... I have never been very enthusiastic about they're music tho... this sounds quite good...But maybe that's because the song isn't made by themselfs...

Incredible!
I don't like their music. And they look awful, but it's good that they did win. Show those Eurovision dumbheads that we don't like lovesongs sung by little half-naked bitches, who aren't clever enough to write it themselves. I hope next year there'll be more rock (and better rock than Lordi of course), or better yet, I hope Eurovision dies. It was never good anyway.
