Everytime I listen to it, I'm shocked! It's so good, so melodic! *horns*

EDIT: I'm listening to Magellan now, and it sounds good so far.
I've never heard of the band before twenty minutes ago, so maybe someone can give me a short summary and recommendations and anything I need to know. :P ;) thanks!

Ahh yes! That's a good one! One of the best from 'The Hound'! With Ashley Holt as Dr. Mortimer. he has a great strong voice! I wonder what else he did, I don't know him, but I want to hear more by this man!

I was playing Dream Theater - Solitary Shell

I'm gonna play Dream Theater's Awake album soon!

I bought a Magellan cd a while back on a whim (Impossible Figures) but I wasn't very impressed with it  :(

They're two brothers, Wayne and Trent Gardner. You can find their website here:

http://www.magellanweb.com/provahyf.htm

I hope that helps. I might have to give that cd another try to see if my first impressions were right  :)

Edit: Oh, and I've been listening to The Flower Kings - Paradox Hotel again this morning. I like it more each time I hear it.

PH

Ahh ok thanks. Yeah I've listened to some more of it, but I'm not so sure now anymore...
The first track of their latest album sounds alright, but then I discovered some more of it, and it wasn't really that good, indeed.

So Frost - Black Light Machine then...

PH

And now I'm listening to some amazing work of Frost's (and IQ's) drummer Andy Edwards.
Check out: http://www.andyedwardsmusic.com/audio.htm

:o :o :o
This makes me wanna play the drums ;D

You DID?!?!?! COOL!!
I'm gonna see that one next time when I'm at your place! ;)
How did you do that by the way? You have no creditcard, do you?
On a side note: did you have news from 'de Nootzaak', Frank?

Now Playing: Neal Morse - ? - VII The Glory Of The Lord
Interesting song, magical, almost spooky in some way.

EDIT:
Now playing: Frank Klepacki - Emperor Battle For Dune - Assembling The Troops
7:42 minutes of AMAZING music. It's the best music for a game composed EVER!!
Also very cinematic stuff.
I could describe this as Progressive-Orchestrated-War-Soundtrack. :P ;D *horns* ::)
You can check it out if you haven't already, I bet everyone here likes that song at least.
www.frankklepacki.com --> (In the jukebox at the bottom left of the site) --> Dune series

I'm sorry for the (somewhat) advertising, but this guy is absolutely amazing! :o :o And his work comes closer and closer to the progressive scene since he set up a band playing instrumental progressive music in the vein of Rush. Maybe we'll see him in the ProgArchives list someday. ;)
