Dread Zeppelin - Un-Led-Ed

For those who don't know ...

In fact I didnt know. Sounds pretty strange, Manatee  ::)

Please don't take it personally, but I don't think I'l get the album  ;)

Altho Zep is one of my fave bands, I can only stand reggae after many smokes (and I can't afford that presently), and combined with Elvis, it'l require even more smokes  :(

To be honest, I agree with you on all counts there.  These guys are hilarious, but one listen every few years is enough.

NP: Porcupine Tree - Darkwing (all of it, probably more than once)

I have a feeling I'll be buying more PT albums shortly.   *horns*

Btw, none of you guys seem to have spent much effort on Jeff Buckley. Erik, Iggy, Tom, Mad (I won't name Paxi, cause then he'l just turn away even more), highly recommended  ;)

He's mentioned as a strong influence on Anathema, and you sure can hear it.

He aint no ordinary singer/songwriter, he's a star, in the best sense of the word  8)

Have his album Grace in fact (acquired it after hearing Steve Hogarth's H Band live version of Dream Brother), but still struggling with it a bit. He surely is no ordinary singer/songwriter, but his voice may be not quite my cup of tea. Have heard Sketches, appealed to me more (despite or because it's unfinished/posthumous?).

Still Playing: Porcupine Tree - Deadwing

Haven't stopped playing this since my last NP post (okay, I did sleep a bit in-between).
Just a brilliant album.  My only complaint is this: was it really necessary to add 5 or 6 minutes of dead air onto the end of 'Glass Arm Shattering' ?  From some things I've read on the web, I suspect that was just done to make the 10th track a "hidden" track, although on the version of the disc I have, it's not particularly hidden.  Possibly it was also done to make it a bit annoying to pirate, but as I paid for my copy legitimately, I don't feel that I deserve to be annoyed.   ;)

Talkin bout pioneer prog groups:

NP  Traffic:  When The Eagle Flies

Nice stuff  8)

If any group has been lost over the years, it's Traffic. OK, they aint up to Floyd and Genesis, but they are on par with many of the other prog groups that are bandied around here  ;)

Not on my copy, it wasn't.  I haven't got 5 minutes of dead air or even another track after 'Glass Arm Shattering' :(

I guess I should be thankful then.  Track 10 is "She's Moved On" and it's quite good.

Presumably a different version to the one on 'Lightbulb Sun'?

To be honest, I'm not sure since this is the first PT album I've bought (although it certainly won't be the last).  From the references I see on the web, it looks like the song length is a little different, so it may well be a different version.
