I was probably about Paxi's age when I thought she (not Paxi) was sweet and even rocked, altho I was too busy lookin at ... forget it, to register the names of any of her songs.

I saw her live in 82 or 83 and she definitively rocked the place  *horns*

And about the "forget it" thing, yes, she definitively had that too ...  :-*

You're welcome. But it's not only Riverside that springs to mind. They also remind me a bit of bands like Opeth and Anathema. Their singer on the other hand sounds a bit like Geoff Tate I think.

But yeah, great band! :)

NP: Porcupine Tree - XMII

Paul McCartney & Wings - Band on the Run.

It might not be proggy, but it's one of those all-time classics I feel the need to play every so often 8)

There's no need to apologise, you are allowed to play something that isn't prog... ;)

Manatee

NP: Kamelot - The Black Halo - March of Mephisto

This is really good stuff.  Nicky, I think you've got a new Kamelot convert.   *horns*
"What is that sound?  It's confusing, and boy is it loud!"

Nicky007

Betcha, Manatee  *horns*

I find all Kamelot albums (except their first) great. Roy Khan is one of my alltime fave singers, but I find Mark Vanderbilt fine on Dominion (their 2.) too.

And Thomas Youngblood's style has developed a lot; he actually solos more on the early albums.

This is a group where one can just as well get all albums asap (2. pub. or not)  ;D

King Crimson - Lark's Tongues In Aspic
Cause of Injury: Lack of Adhesive Ducks.

Manatee

Dread Zeppelin - Un-Led-Ed

For those who don't know, these guys were a band that did Led Zeppelin songs in reggae style with the lead singer being an Elvis impersonator. I saw them live once -- they're every bit as strange as it sounds like they are.
