Dream Theater - Images And Words ~ 15th Anniversary

Track: [01] Pull Me Under

Recorded Live in Bonn, Germany this CD is given to every International Fan Club members.
And i'm one of them.  ;D *horns*

How's the quality of the recording?
And of the performance?

Oh, I'm playing Jean Michel Jarre at the moment.

I made my own compilation of best songs:

"Industrial Revolution - Overture" now.

Great! ;D

Heroically resisting the temptation to comment on the apparent brevity of such a project, ;D I'll move swiftly on to:

Pendragon - Once Upon a Time in England Volume I.
An odds'n'ends collection of varying sound quality.  Not a must-have, but certainly an interesting item if, like me, you're all fired up by the mighty Pure! *horns*

I agree! To some extend.
Most of his music is very ambient. Actually, it's so ambient that it becomes boring.
But some of his music is very upbeat (I like "Magnetic Fields Part 1" a lot!).
And sometimes it's very good to relax to his music.

All in all, I don't listen to it very much, but when I'm in the right mood, I love (almost) every minute of it!

Man it's a great recording. Surrounded is just as the version on Chaos In Motion DVD/CD that means with the Marillion parts and the extended solo.
The performance is very good to say the least. There's a Mellotron solo during Take The Time and even Metropolis Pt I is an extended version.

Have you watched the CiM DVD yet?  I love the way there's the bricks from The Wall on the big screen while they're doing the Pink Floyd bit in Surrounded *horns*

Awesome performance, on the whole, although the video quality varies from clip to clip.  Some bits are like watching YouTube!  :o

I definitely agree with that.
Don't know if that's a bad thing though, 'cos you get that real 'live' feeling. It's a pure dvd, mostly unpolished i'd say but there are parts that are not the way they should be.
Ministry, i've mentioned this earlier, is one of the best songs on it. I always thought of it as a good song, though nothing special with the solo on the end that could have been edited a bit but man, on the DVD it's marvellous. Also In The Presence is great. Brings back good memories.
The footage in between some songs are good to watch. Very funny how Mike holds a shirt of Pistons and make something completely different out of it.  ;D
I haven't watch the bonuses yet though. I might to that next Tuesday evening when my wife has to work and my kids are asleep.  :D

Indeed 8)  But I kept thinking that if I were Jordan Rudess I'd shave off the 'Gary Glitter' beard, if only to make for swifter airport transits ;D

NP: Pendragon - Once Upon a Time in England Volume II.  Comments as per Volume I earlier, except the sound quality is generally better.  I believe this was/is available as an official free download, although I'm not sure as I'm the proud owner of a genuine hold-it-in-your-paws version.

You mean that they might consider him a member of the Taliban?  ;D
That would be a great joke.  :D
It happened to James Hetfield once.

Perhaps it's not as newsworthy outside of the UK :)

I see you're listening to Animations, if Last.FM is to be believed.  Are they worth us Roomies checking out, d'you reckon?

If you like Liquid Tension Experiment then i'd definitely say yes.
It's a Polish instrumental band and the technicality they show is huge. Extremely good and highly recommended.  :)
I first heard a song of them, The Four Symptoms, when i searched for bands who sounded like LTE.
I'm ussually not very into instrumental bands but after i heard just this song i had to buy the album too.

NP> Metallica - Death Magnetic

Strange title, strange cover but i like it nevertheless.  *horns* *horns* *horns*
