My Crying - Vanden Plas - Album AcCult :)

Since we don't have a welcome-here-topic, i'll do it this way:

Hey, jorja, welcome to the Arena.  8) *horns*

NP> Riverside - Second Life Syndrome

Track: Artificial Smile

Cause of Injury: Lack of Adhesive Ducks.

Today I'm playing:
Ayreon - The Human Equation
- Day 9: Playground (Instrumental)

Shortest track of the album except for the first song, (which in my opinion isn't really the first song).

Yesterday, me and Cyborg-Frask went to the birthdayparty of my uncle who made it to 50 yesterday. Big party in a restaurant/partyhouse, lots of guests and lots of (bad) music. So we thought we should liven it up a little, so we asked to play a CD that I brought with me. We played this (in this order):

Blackfield - Blackfield
Marillion - Map Of The World
Within Temptation - Memories
The Urbane - Immaculate
Porcupine Tree - Lazarus
Stream Of Passion - Out In The Real World
Kino - Perfect Tense
Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes
The Urbane - Time After Time
Kino - Leave A Light On
OSI - Better
OSI - Free
Frost - Black Light Machine

I was scared to play Out In The Real World, Blackest Eyes and the two OSI tracks, but we didn't hear any complains! Haha! Both my uncle and my other (younger) uncle can appreciate Marillion, so that was a plus anyway.
We also had a copy of Ayreon - The Human Equation with us, but we left it in its case, because if we played that we would get lynched for sure...

After that CD the radio got its play again, with some cheap hardcore/trance/dance/whatever junk. And thén everybody complained! It's getting better after all!
Oh and the rest of the party was great too.

Sorry for my long post once again, but I had to tell this nice experience.

Cyborg-Frask

and now my review :P

Just kidding...It was really fun to let the rest of the family hear some music that the usually don't hear...
even tho not everyone wanted to hear it tho  ;)

but i was suprise tho hear from my brother (a anti-prog guy :P) that he liked Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes....well actually he didn't say that he liked it..he said that it wasn't bad  :) but it's a start

QuoteOh and the rest of the party was great too.
same here... too bad we had to leave quite early  :'(

We got home at 23:30, the first think i did was saying: "the DVD player is mine tonight" and i played the wholl DVD: Ayreon - The Human Equation that pH gave me on that party (i did gave you the money did i ? :P)

Now playing: Ayreon - The Human Equation - Day fifteen - Betrayal

PH

Something funny when I put in the second disc of The Human Equation: I saw that the first eleven tracks of the second disc were going very fast, so I thought NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! (I have very bad experiences with second discs of things) but then I saw that the first real song (Day 12: Trauma) started on track 12. it's actually very handy!

I don't know if people understand what I was saying :D, but people who own the CD know what I mean. ;)

Now Playing: Landmarq - Thunderstruck - Solitary Witness :o

Cyborg-Frask

WHAHAHA actually i had the same experiences...i thought: "NOOO this can't be true.." but then i thought: o wait it's the seconds disk...

Ayreon - Day eleven: Love (single) - Space Oddity

Teunis

Today: Camel - Rajaz and Toto - Turn Back

np: Progarchives.com: Genesis - In the Cage / Cinema Show / Slippermen

PH

My biology teacher gave me my CD back, so now I'm playing IQ - Dark Hour.

Something else:
My favourite Prog-store has a customer-evening on 14th of June. With a snack and a drink and half-off CD's etcetera etcetera.
Sounds cool and I want to go there, but it is THE SAME DATE as when I go to the party of my school... ARGH....

Cyborg-Frask

AHHH that really sucks there man...maybe you can combine the 2 things on one day? or is that party the wholl day long?

hmm that "half-off CD's" sounds so good :P

now playing: Mostly Autumn - Heroes never die (again)
I keep this song playing over and over again...(at progarchives of course)

I'm into a Blackfield mood now.

I'm playing a song by Aviv Geffen.
Don't know what it's called 'cause I don't understand Hebrew. (Not anymore that is)

http://www.avivarchive.co.il/avivgeffenradio.html

Very catchy and happy(?) songs! He sings better here than on the Blackfield album.

Cyborg-Frask

Ayreon - Flight Of The Migrator - Dawn Of A Million Souls
