...as opposed to you, I gather... ;D

I'm playing "Rise of Nations", a computer game, but I fear I'm off topic, nonetheless... :-\

IQ - The Lost Attic: A Collection of Rarities (1983-1999)

Not only am I having a bit of an IQ day, but I'm having an IQ day where I don't play Seventh House or Dark Matter.  This isn't easy.  :o

I saw them playing DSOTM live in Rotterdam, Holland. Man, what a glorious night that was.
Truly a night to remember.  *horns*

Yes there is no denying their musicianship

So, Mad, Phideaux sound like nothing  ;)

Guess I have to work this out myself  ;D

Found'm on Myspace  http://www.myspace.com/phideaux

Fortunately you get full songs here.

More for the lighties here than for me. If you're into IQ, you'l prob like this. There's a lot of organ, some flutes and all sorts of instruments, and a lot of novel sounds. Even an occasional rough guitar solo. Phideaux Xavier sings a bit like Guy Manning. Band's based in Los Angeles. They characterise their music as "Dark wave of progressive music".

Did you ask me something about it then?  ???
Sorry, never noticed that.  :-[

Only twice, Mad. Hey, have you contracted Appyitis ?  ;D

Generally I consider it good practice that, when mentioning a lesser known group or artist, one adds a characterisation. Else it gets lost in the general entropy.

Dream Theater - When Dream & Day Unite.

Unquestionably my least favourite DT album, but these things are relative.  I'm conscious of the fact that there are bands in my collection whose best effort isn't up to this standard.  *horns*

NP  Credo:  Rhetoric  (on Myspace)

This is not heavy, but it sure hits a vein with me   *horns* *horns* *horns*

How come these guys aint more known ?  They're definitely among the best. "The best band you have never heard of..."

What haunting singing ! - just Mark Colton accompanied by a piano and a few other instruments playing subtly - whoowee

Reminds me a lot of Pallas, one of my fave bands.

I'm visiting Malmö Skivhandel today. I'l take the kitchen knife along and make sure that they order Rhetoric for me  ;D

This is what IQ could be like if they rejuvenated themselves  ;)

Always one of those bands I 'meant to check out soon' I finally took the plunge after seeing a couple of mentions on here.  I don't regret it at all - here's hoping you don't either.  :)
If I had to draw a comparison then early Marillion would probably be the foremost thought in my mind, but they have their own identity beyond that.

Clearly you've been listening to too much Ten Jovi AOR of late, perhaps Credo will be the detox you need to get you back on the One True Prog Path.  ;) ;D ;D ;)

Steve, maybe you'd be a bit more jovial if you'd spin Ten a coupl'o times. If AOR is troposphere, then Ten is stratosphere  *horns*  ;D

NP  Caamora: The Bonding  (on repeat)

Oh, how I missed that song. I gave my only copy of She to my high-school friend Rune when he took his Dr. Scient.. I sure hope he's appreciated it, cause I'v been pining - even started having wet !  oops, better stop here, or I'l get Bupsie goin again  ;D

Christina, this time "I make this holy bond, and seal it with a kiss" and keep this copy foreva  :-*
