I like the first joke Nicky.
The other two are too difficult.

The present form is "screw", Paxi  ;D

The Clinton joke should/can not be explained  :-X

The last joke is "special for you"  :D

Nicky.
So you've come of age
And so you want to meet God
Sure you can
He's right here next to me

Deenfan

I thank you for the whole post, Nicky. It cheered me up immensely! :D

"Yeah, yeah..." :D ;D :D

Nicky007

Welcome, Deenie  :)

Hint to getting the Clinton joke, Paxi:  Look up "intern" in e.g. Dictionary.com - all three meanings  ;)

Pretty sophisticated joke actually  ;D

Only problem is that I'm undermining my lead ...

Nicky.
So you've come of age
And so you want to meet God
Sure you can

So you didn't notice that there were actually four ? I didn't neither ...  ;D

PH

Well, the first joke was Nicky himself.

Nicky007

... and the last was Paxi  :D

Aswell as two brilliant Frost* T-Shirts and a sticker. :P

Still no sign of Experiments In Mass Appeal. :'(

Too bad man. I'm actually glad I didn't pre-order it to be honest. I also still don't have the album but it saves me a lot of frustration I guess. Here's what John Jowitt says on the Frost*-forum:

QuoteWe're clearly having some problems with orders taken by the CRS which haven't been passed on to us. This obviously means you don't get your goodies, and we don't get paid for providing them, so both of us lose out. I'm sure this is a case of cock up rather than conspiracy, as are most things in the world except for the continued lack of success of my favourite football team, but anyway...

If you have made an order through the CRS (or any other) and you've not heard anything, please PM TLD in the first instance (now SHE's organised!), or me if you are at all worried by the status of your order.

Apologies for any problems - please get in touch and we'll sort it - these problems will not arise with the Frost shop over which we have full control.

JJJ

Hope this helps in any way.

Tom
There will be white clouds beyond the hills...

PH

Yeah I know... I've been reading the Frosties* forum for quite some time now. Terrible.

My order was:
- Experiments In Mass Appeal
- Tour CD
- T-Shirt Milliontown
- T-Shirt Milliontour

I received:
- Tour CD
- T-Shirt Milliontown
- T-Shirt Milliontour

ARRGGHH...

I sent a PM to TLD there and she sent one back.
She made an apology and posted EIMA yesterday, along with a free beanie hat. ;D

So, I think I should have it Tuesday or something.

I need the beanie, since it's gonna get frosty...

Well, three out of four ain't bad.  ;)
Cause of Injury: Lack of Adhesive Ducks.

PH

Well, you probably already know that Experiments In Mass Appeal made it to my collection quite some time ago.
All is well. Just so there's no doubt about that. ;D

My Marillion collection is growing...
Next on the Marillion list are "Holidays In Eden", "Brave" and "Afraid Of Sunlight".

And finally, after a year, there they are! 8)
I'm looking forward to "getting into" Brave. It's always a struggle, I know. (Strange enough, this sentence makes me think of another Marillion song... can't put my finger on it though...)

And also Electric Light Orchestra (the (in my eyes) three essential albums) is added to my ever expanding collection.

The song that you are referring to is on Marbles but isn't any of the following:

The Invisible Man
Marbles I
Genie
The Only Unforgivable Thing
Marbles II
Ocean Cloud
Marbles III
The Damage
Don't Hurt Yourself
You're Gone
Angelina
Drilling Holes
Marbles IV
Neverland

So, which one is it? That's up to you now...  ;D

Good luck getting into Brave though. Once you're in, there's no way out anymore...  *horns*

Thanks for that! ;D
It was Fantastic Place!
I always hate it when a (good) bit of music is sticked into your head, but you don't know which song or which band it is. Sleepless nights I tell you!

Thanks! Still not really convinced, but tonight I'll give it another proper run.

Yes it can be quite frustrating, I know everything about it... ;)

What do you think so far? Maybe you already mentioned it in another thread but I had so much (off-topicness ;D) to read that I may have missed it...

For some reason I didn't hold my promise.
Haven't listened to it yet.
But I just turned on WinAmp so I'll do it right away!

QuoteAnd also Electric Light Orchestra (the (in my eyes) three essential albums) is added to my ever expanding collection.

QuoteElectric Light Orchestra (England)
- 1976 - A New World Record
- 1977 - Out Of The Blue
- 1981 - Time

I'm also in the process of acquiring some essential ELO, Paco, got Out Of The Blue and Eldorado some time ago and have Face The Music and A New World Record on order now. Time is also worthwhile, better than its predecessor Discovery [a.k.a. Disco-very ;)] and maybe the last good ELO album. Eldorado is also a must have, I think, you should really check it out!
We stare at our screens
All our lives
What a waste of eyes..

Alright. I've finally updated my list! ;D

In one and a half year I've bought quite a few albums.

Here they are:

- Arena:
Pride (finally my Arena studio album collection is complete!)

- Dream Theater:
When Dream And Day Unite (haven't really played this one that often yet.)
A Change Of Seasons (great song, for the rest: don't listen to it much.)
Black Clouds And Silver Linings (the special 3 CD edition!)

- Guilt Machine:
On This Perfect Day (really nice music!)

- IQ
Frequency (good, but not better than "Dark Matter" and "The Seventh House".)

- Kaipa
In The Wake Of Evolution (perhaps Kaipa's best.)

- Marillion
Somewhere Else (the title track is one of my favourites.)

- Porcupine Tree
Up The Downstair (second PT album and really spacey.)
Voyage 34: The Complete Trip (even spacier.)
The Sky Moves Sideways (best old PT album in my opinion!)
Signify (nice songs on this one. I guess this album is a grower.)
Nil Recurring [EP] (no weak song on this one.)
The Incident (to me it was a bit of a disappointment.)

- Silhouette
Moods (the brother of my dad's colleague plays bass)

- The Tangent
Down And Out In Paris And London (still have to get into this.)

- TransAtlantic
SMPTe (couldn't do without this one really! A musthave!)
The Whirlwind (best Neal Morse related album in four years.)

- Vangelis
Blade Runner [OST] (the 30th anniversary edition. BEAU-TI-FUL!)
1492: Conquest Of Paradise [OST] (a classic!)

- Ray Wilson
Propaganda Man (nice songs.)

- Steven Wilson
Insurgentes (very challenging music. Really worth it!)

PH

Another update.
This time a recent one.

All bought today:

- Dream Theater
Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York

- Porcupine Tree
Lightbulb Sun
Recordings

PH

Added:

- Mostly Autumn
Go Well Diamond Heart

PH

Today I got some cd's delivered! ;D

So I added:

Vangelis
"Voices"
"Oceanic"
"El Greco"

PH

I added to my CD collection:
Arena - "The Seventh Degree Of Seperation"

*horns*

Am I still missing something in my collection?

Am I still missing something in my collection?

Yeah, some more melodic metal albums, as you like DT and Threshold so much  ;)

Try the following moderately heavy melodic metal bands and artists, all pantheon with me: Shadow Gallery, Dominici, Symphony X, Queensrÿche, Circus Maximus, Seventh Wonder, Subsignal, Sieges Even, Robert Plant, Explorers Club, Dali's Dilemma, Stride, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, Jerry Cantrell, DeadSoul Tribe, Arcturus, Down, Enslaved, Extreme (ex-dream), Pearl Jam, Judas Priest, Them Crooked Vultures, Tool, Vanden Plas, Adagio - should keep you occupied for while  :)

How about some Yes, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd?
