NP Evening games by Satellite
Got a mail today that this one is on its way to me  8). First Satellite album still in backorder.

Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

Thompson Twins - Into The Gap
Thompson Twins - Quick Step & Side Kick

OK, it's embarassing 'skeletons in the closet' time.  These clearly aren't prog, metal or even rock - just plain old pop tunes.  I do, however, think they are particularly good pop tunes and I have a soft spot for the Thompson Twins - unlike most of the hairspray and make-up bilge from the 80s.  Besides, they were 4.98 UK pounds from Amazon, for the recent double-CD re-issues with all the bonus tracks and cassette extras - extreme value for money.

I'm looking forward to the re-release of 'Here's To Future Days' which is looming in the current months.

I'm also looking forward to the return of my prog credibility, which might take a little longer... ;D
Regards, Steve Jones

I got a great bargain today at Axel Music in Copenhagen, three cd's on my SL:

Peter Gabriel:  So
Pantera:  The Great Southern Trendkill
Cream:  Wheels Of Fire

all classics, for a bit more than the standard price for a new cd   :)

So Yes will have to wait a bit - but I'll get down to it, Iggy, promise   :-*

Iggy, will be interested what you think of Metamorphosis, I bought it soon after release and was a bit disappointed on first listen - but it has really grown on me. It is probably their most complex ambitous album yet. I remember the same feeling when I first heard Yes's Relayer, I thought, what the **** is this ?, now I regarded as a classic !

By coincidence my latest purchase is Magenta - The Singles, first impressions are good !

I saw them last sunday. Amazing, especially Frost*. Make sure to pick up the 'gig-cd' as they'd like to call it. It features 2 songs from the forthcoming album! Or check their MySpace where you can hear 3 new songs. www.myspace.com/planetfrost

Well I hope you have a damnably good time, then.  8)
In fact, have one for me - I decided I couldn't afford the travel/hotel costs involved for any of the gigs where both bands were billed.  :(

That is a shame but it is an expensive experience going to gigs although you cant beat (imo) 17.50 for Frost and Spock's Beard.
