Arriving somewhere, but not here....

PH

I just bought:
The Tangent - A Place In The Queue (2005)
Sylvan - Posthumous Silence (2006)
Hidria Spacefolk - Symetria (2007)

I spend quite some money lately...
But I'm now (again) listening to Hidria Spacefolk! Wow! Very refreshing music! And a nice cd case or sleeve if you like to call it that. A bit strange too.
Sylvan, yes I like this album. But I think I'd prefer Presets, it's just more my taste. Initially Posthumous Silence (and Artificial Paradise) have put me off, but then I decided to try Presets and that was nice!
PS is very cool too.
Can't believe I once said that I didn't like Sylvan!
Now I want to try Artificial Paradise again! :D
The Tangent is something I don't really like from the beginning, but I knew it had something, so I bought the latest album and I will listen to it soon.

I was just thinking, Paco: Your Dad's divorced, and my Mom's too, so if they got married with each other, your Dad would become my stepfather, and he could start paying for my CD's too. Hm, let's see, how do we bring them together .........

He doesn't pay my cds... (that would be cool).

And we're already brothers! ;)

:o  ??? Best Dutch prog album in my opinion [Electric Castle]

Are you guys familiar with the Dutch-American prog group Sun Caged? They're more DT-style. Their album Artemisia is my fave Dutch album.

Agree. Sun Caged are really good for a Dutch band.  8)

In any case, noone can accuse us proggies for being in it for the money.

On the other hand, I haven't met the proggie who regrets having paid for his/her collection of albums with Arena, Dream Theater, IQ etc.

And we wouldn't have all this fun in the Room were it not for our musical passion.

IQ

Speaking of IQ, I've just brought tickets for IQ in January at the CRS awards.

Nicky007

What I don't understand bout you marsh monsters is that you ignore Sun Caged so completely - in fact it almost looks like a conspiracy. This group is in my opinion easily the most exciting Dutch group, the closest to groups like DT and SyX. Have they stolen your women or your beers or somethin?

That shows that your IQ is high, Johnny. And remember to ask the woofies if they'd like to join. That I have to do family therapy here  ::)

Good choice, P.

Mmm, nice!  :)

I'm afraid I won't buy any CDs or DVDs for a while... I just brought my car to the garage for inspection and I fear I won't have any money left until end of the year.  :(  The preliminary price they gave me was - sit down, guys - 291 Euros! (add the VAT to that, and I'm sure they'll also charge me for changing tyres)

Nicky007

OK, Maddox, tell us what it's like.

Yeah Maddox, tell us! The cover looks nice, but how's the music?
