I don't know were I'm listening to, it's a cd of my cousin, he mentioned the artist, but I forgot  ::)

Sounds... nice though.
''I'm a million times removed, from the socially closed world.''
I can imagine, that wouldn't be too nice.

An amazing piece of music. Actually the whole album is great, one of PT's best in my opinion.

Wicked stuff!  I have most of Tom Waits' albums and they are brilliant.  An acquired taste maybe but once acquired ...  8)

I would recommend Heartattack and Vine, Blue Valentines, Mule Variations, Bone Machine, Small Change ... but possibly not The Black Rider (very hard to listen to!)

BTW ... listening to Jethro Tull's Songs from the Wood at the moment

My dad is really into Jethro Tull.

And both my uncles like Tom Waits, I only heard 'Little Drop Of Poison'. But I don't like that raw voice.

I'm still listening to The Sky Moves Sideways by Porcupine Tree.

6. The Sky Moves Sideways (Alternative Version)

The Voyager

Carptree - "Man Made Machine". Excellent swedish prog!

Moonloop

Dream Theater - Live at the Budokan

That's really a funny coinsedence  :D, I'm getting more curious now about that kind of music.

I'm listening to the last song of the last album of Dream Theater.

I think this is the best song I've heard ever. Musically it's great, lyrics: I'm not sure. But there's so much in it!

When you listen to the lyrics you can hear something really cool.
Each part represents a song from the album.
Root = The Root Of All Evil
Second = These Answer Lies Within
Third = These Walls
Fourth = I Walk Beside You
And so forth and so on.

When LaBrie sings the particular songs you can hear samples from these songs if you listen carefully!

Root:
Our deadly sins feel his mortal wrath
Remove all obstacles from our path

Second:
Asking questions, search for clues
The answer's been right in front of you

Third:
We try to break through, long to connect
We fall on death ears with failed muted breath

Fourth:
Loyalty, trust, faith in desire
Carries love through each darkest fire

Fifth:
Tortured insanity, smothering hell
Try to escape but to no avail

Sixth:
They call them admirers, claim they adore
Drain all your life blood but begging for more

Seventh:
Innocent phantoms for merciless crimes
I'll pray to some madness for repulsive designs

Octavarium:
Step out of step and try controlling my fate
When you finally start living it's become to late

A MASTERPIECE.

But Genesis is still my favourite band, followed by Arena, and then Dream Theater perhaps.

Appelmoes??
