Thought that the latter band had quitted, but they're doing a live gig as a support for Shadowland on 20th February in Zoetermeer. So there's hope, and hopefully a new album  8).

NP: Anathema - A Natural Disaster

I'm really getting into this one.   Other than the fantastic "Pulled Under at 2000 Meters Per Second," I don't think they're really very metallic at all on this album except for a certain metal-like tension that's present.  I expect I'll pick up another of theirs shortly.

A very big album  *horns*

Very American too. A much needed support of the brave soldiers who are out there in remote dangerous places to protect us in our comfortable homes from 9/11-like attacks. There's always been, and there'l long be, evil around in the world, emerging outta all sortsa mysterious places, so we'l need people who do this. I never served, guess I was too timid, but I admire and respect those who do; they'r my heroes  *horns*

This album really reaches out to the common soldier and his/her family. The music has lotta depth - trust Q - but it's also quite accessible to a person who wants quality music and lyrics. Also many gripping spoken narratives by soldiers who'v been in action.

And Scott really shines again on his drums (Deenie  ;) )  8)

All in all, a monumental album !
