Just: AC/DC - Ballbreaker
Now: Ratt - Ratt

Music to sand exterior woodwork to.  I've not dropped my iPod from the upper storey yet, but it's surely just a matter of time...

Sounds about right: 2 loud, fun bands that won't suffer much from the sound of power tools in the background.

Me, I've been writing/debugging code all night and am now drinking scotch and listening to:

NP: Frost* - Experiments in Mass Appeal

It's a good album, although notwithstanding all the spoken nonsense, I prefer their first.  That said, I think I'd really rather hear Ratt about now.   ;D

No power tools at the moment, just elbow grease.  Popped in for a p*ss, otherwise listening too:

NP: Morrissey - Your Arsenal

Last night I played all my Riverside albums (which is everything except Voices in My Head -- I assume Steve will order me flogged for not having that).  Those boys are really really good.  I even thought of them yesterday when I saw some yummy Stella D'oro biscuits and recalled the claim that Rapid Eye Movement is possibly the finest round thing on the planet that's not actually a biscuit.  I was a good boy and passed on the biscuits in attempt to avoid the fat b*stard syndrome.  Also did some listening to Morow.com -- I think Sylvan and The Watch have made it onto my "get an album" list.

Pandora played "Paper Lies" a lot.  I found it lacking in subtlety.

That is the most unsubtle song off the album. Why anyone would want to play "Paper lies" a lot is beyond me. It's good enough, I guess, but annoyingly noisy and worse as it progresses. I used to skip it, and it's not on my jukebox. Check the rest of the album. In sequence. And leave out "Paper lies"...

Glad to hear it.  Would've been depressing if everyone else thought it was genius.  In that case, I'll consider Brave for one of my next choices, although I've already got the Happiness pair on the way.

NP: A whole bunch of Pearl Jam albums

There's a logical flaw in that somewhere...

Now, you're just being picky ;)

Just: The Verve - Forth
Now: The Verve - A Storm in Heaven

Influenced by PT's 'Time Flies' I had the urge to listen to the equally Floydian 'Numbness' from 'Forth' *horns*

America needs a new law that regardless of who is President, he is under no circumstances allow to set foot in Manhattan while he's in office.   For a while it looked like the cops were going to make me keep driving straight until I fell into the East River. >:(

Ah so the motorcades with all the cops that we see on TV really happens.

Not quite the same here with Mr cameron and his cycle helmet.

Well, not so much motorcade as that the police are on every freakin' block and won't let you turn anywhere you normally can.  There probably is a motorcade, but typically they speed the VIP to his destination as fast as possible, and then nobody sees him again, but the roads remain a disaster for hours afterward.  I believe in this case, Mr. Obama went to the U.N.
