The song and album title games sometimes give me an urge to play something.   :)

Aaaaarrrgggghhhh!  It was even scarier because I initially misread 'Reaction' as a body part that is generally considered unsavory.   :P

NP: Devin Townsend - Ziltoid the Omniscient

because I'm only one being's worth of omniscient so far and need further study.

Last night I discovered that Devin is not the best choice for the hung-over, so I retreated into the safety of the relatively soothing nihilism of Porcupine Tree.  I've also decided that Blackfield is not as poppy as I'd feared (just a couple songs are) and is, in fact, quite good.   *horns*

Jolly spiffing, IMHO.  Never struck me as poppy at all *horns*

Of course it isn't! I think it's because of the ashes. I've never heard the ashes go 'pop'.

Of course it is!

I think it's something like Progressive Pop or something...
Nah, not even that.
Steven Wilson and Aviv Geffen are more like a singer songwriter duo.

I'm not making sense...

You've got woman on the brain.  It's generally impossible to make sense in such a state.  On the plus side, you probably don't care.   ;)

Ah ok, I wondered what it could be.
Tomorrow I'll probably look at what I've written (typed) here and go "AAAHHH!!!" and "OH NOOOO!!!" and possibly even "NOAH!!!".

Iggy, what's with the "18"?

I have only one of their albums.  They're entertaining in small doses, and 'Making Plans for Nigel' is a classic.

NP: Arena - Contagion

P.S.  I do believe I've figured out what Iggy's number means, but I'll let him reveal it when he sees fit.   8)

I can't help you there ;)  Are you generally not well disposed towards new-wave(ish) bands, or just this one in particular?

It's only in the last 10 years or so that I've really gotten into them, mainly because of a) Primus's cover of 'Scissor Man' and b) working for a while with a chap who was XTC mad.

It's amazing how many really excellent singles they've done - check out the 'Fossil Fuel' collection, for example *horns*

Thanks for this much appreciated.

I think I liked senses working overtime.

Wrathchild America - Climbin' The Walls.

Fairly standard 80s metal fayre, but includes a cover of Floyd's 'Time' :)
