What's Pandora?  Something similar to LastFM?

Somewhat similar, yes, although I think LastFM puts more emphasis on the "community" features.  Although you can post comments and discuss with other listeners, the main focus of Pandora is creating your own "radio stations" by seeding them with songs or bands.  Then it plays songs that, according to their parameters, have features in common with your seeds.  You can give a thumbs up or thumbs down to the songs it plays, and it will play more in the styles that you liked and less in the styles that you didn't.  I was asked about Pandora here before -- I think their licenses with music publishers only allow them to make the service available to people with U.S. addresses.  I took a quick look at LastFM last year, but it seemed like my computer wasn't entirely happy running it.  Also, I'm paranoid enough to be a bit worried about the bit where they monitor everything you play on your computer.

NP: Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe - An Evening of Yes Music Plus - And You and I    (on Pandora - it sounds exactly like the Yes version except it's got a live audience)

Correction, now I've heard *every* song on Mlliontown.

NP: Frost* - Milliontown - Snowman

I guess since I've heard all of it, and it's all good, I'll have to buy the bloody thing.   8)

Amaseffer ~ Exodus: Slaves For Life

As rock-steady as Amen in church  ;D

NP  Traffic:  When The Eagle Flies  (on repeat)  *horns*

Strange, I wasnt much gripped by Traffic back in the 70's. But now I'm thoroughly enjoying this album, which I just got randomly in some odd cd-store. And it's not even remastered. Good sound tho.

Was just reading about'm on Wiki. Turns out they're from B'ham. Obviously lots of talent comes from there.

Gotto get some more Traffic albums.

None'o you guys into'm ?

:D not at all!
It's totally different from Milliontown!
Still very Frost* strangely... :-\

Thanks, Paco.  Maybe I'll wind up getting it just on faith that these people don't release bad stuff.  Probably I'll get Milliontown first though.

If you want to buy one I would recommend Judgement  or A Natural Disaster

Thanks for the info, Iggy.  I eventually got to hear the title track from A Natural Disaster.  It's quite good, though I was totally surprised at what it sounded like.  I was expecting black proggish metal, and instead I find a quiet, delicate song with lovely female vocals.   :o   There are a few songs available for play on their MySpace page too, which I'm listening to now.  Sounds promising.   *horns*

Great song that  *horns*

Anathema have changed drastically during their career - a true prog group -  and Lee's entry caused another big change. I'd say that Anathema could be delicate before, but she brought some joy and sweetness into the band - I guess like women do to melancholic types like us  ;D

I'm very curious to hear Hindsight and the coming album with entirely new material  8)

Give Jeff Buckley a run too, Manatee, similar mood  ;)

If they'd stop shooting each other, they'd gang together and shoot you, Jonesy. That's how women work  :o

Dunno.  They're certainly nothing like Nevermore, or even Saline Drip Celine Dion.

If you like twin-lead guitar rock with it's roots in the blues and it's head in the 70s, then there's none finer. *horns*
