Yes, a very nice rendition if I may say.  It was the CD I was playing, though, so I could read a book at the same time 8)

NP  Queensrÿche:  Operation Mindcrime I & II  (on repeat)

Awesome, prog at its best  *horns*

OM I created quite a buzz when it was released in 1988. Wiki writes: "The album is generally considered to be the first, and still one of the most important and popular, progressive metal recordings."

Strangely OM II received surprisingly little attention when it came out 18 years later. Guys, let me tellya: It's just as fabulous !  - actually more attuned to present-day ears. There's some stunning religious apotheosis 2/3 of the way thru, beginning with Track 13.

And the story:  One of the most anguishing rock dramas.

Guys, this stuff will knock you over  ;)

Break The Cycle.

Actually I listened to it just after reading your previous post. I didnt enjoy it much, found it rather monotonous. I took it off after six tracks  :-\

Unless they'v gotten far better after that, I'm not likely to listen to them for a while  :(
