...If I were to be picky, the only thing about this wonderfully consistent band ...

Judging from the many personal changes they've had in the past i'd say that this isn't the case.  ;)

I love that album, it's probably their finest work to my ears.  Unfortunately I only have a vinyl copy (and a picture disc, at that!) and haven't heard it for years.

I agree, it's my favorite album of theirs. I am sure you should be able to find the CD for a reasonable price (but I didn't check)  ;)

NP ... nothing, going to bed. Good night  :)

NP  Nevermore:  In Memory

This is their second studio album, formally designated an EP, cause it's only about 1/2 hour long, but guys:  Don't skip this one !!!  The five tracks are tremendous. This is actually the first real Nevermore album. Their nominally first self-titled album has solely songs originated from the Sanctuary period. While it's an excellent metal album, it doesnt really rise above what several other fine metal bands have done. With In Memory they became the prog metal gods that they've remained since  *horns*  (only a discreet opinion, of course)  :) ;D

Tracks 2-5 are surprisingly mellow and melodic for N-standards, so maybe a good starting place for newbies  ;)

I took my whole stack of seven Nevermore albums with me on this trip to Paris, and I'v been listening to nothing else (willingly). These guys really do it for me  :)  They'v overtaken DT in my book and have thus become my fave group ... so guys:  Aint this pretty much the best recommendation I can give ?  ;) *horns*
