Now playing :-

" Hindsight", the latest album from Anathema.

Songs on this are semi-acoustic versions of a selection of songs from their previous albums..... and its pretty good by my reckoning.

Cheers

Neal Morse - Lifeline

A very Neal Morse song.
Lots of Neal elements are in there. But I must say that I begin to like it more and more.
I'm really looking forward to the new album.

But err... Anyone else experiencing an 'error' at 10 or 11 seconds in the song? Or is it part of the song??

I love that album, it's probably their finest work to my ears.  Unfortunately I only have a vinyl copy (and a picture disc, at that!) and haven't heard it for years.

Hey Steve, I also have Paradox Hotel, but I don't really see the brilliance in it.
Can you do a little review on that album? 'cause I really want to like it (I like everything from Roine Stolt, except The Flower Kings... :-/)
Perhaps I can appreciate it more.

Lawks-a-lummy, old chap, I don't think I'd know where to start!  ;)  Anyway, I don't think a few words from me (however well chosen) would sway you.  Perhaps we just like different things...  :)

I've been trying to explain that to you too in the past but i am a lousy reviewer and so is Steve it seems.
The only thing that annoys me from time to time is Hasse Fröberg's voice.  :-\
I'd rather listen to Roine singing but other than that the Flower Kings are one of the leaders in prog music.

But divining them...that's a different story i'm afraid.  :-[

Conversely, I love it.  In fact, I think the Fröberg/Stolt blend is one of TFK's strengths.  If I were to be picky, the only thing about this wonderfully consistent band that I don't find to be absolutely 100% is 'Bavarian Skies'.

Currently 'Big Puzzle' has just finished and the opening notes of 'Sounds of Violence' are kicking in... *horns*
