Yeah, they're one of the most popular bands here in the Copenhagen area for people who want something more serious than the usual radio junk, but not so popular with proggies. I must also say that the few listens I'v had with'm havent gripped me in any way - I find that they sound like so many other good rock groups - but I'm not excluding that I might find some treasures in their music one fine day; it's happened surprisingly with other groups, e.g. DT and Nevermore - seriously  8) ;D

Guys, I'm sorry, I dont know what the QPR volumes are, and I dont either know what you mean, Iggy  ???

These days I'm mainly switching between my five Nevermore albums when alone (they give me endless joy), and listening to lighter stuff when together with Ms 007 and Johnny, my work partner (we spend 2-3 hours driving together every workday). With both Ms and Johnny, Linkin Park's Minutes To Midnight works quite well, but with Johnny I also have to deal with a lot of radio music  :'(  (but aside from that, he's a real cool guy)  8)

Nicky.

'If you ask me (and you did ask for it, Paco), the pre-Going albums are mainly of historical interest today. The best in them is Jon's wonderful songs. The extensive noodling has been surpassed by far by people like Masters JP and Steve Vai, who are more exciting and also don't go on forever.'

This was a quote from you in the Yes thread.

QPR is a football ground in London where Yes played on the Relayer tour.

The dvd's in question are NTSC and the sound quality is questionable.

Not an outfit I've checked out yet.  Unfortunately, as new music outstrips waking hours by an ever increasing margin, I've decided I'm fighting a losing battle unless someone bequeaths me a sonic screwdriver and a second heart.  ::)

NP: Marillion - B Sides Themselves.

Glad I'm not the only one struggling with the amount of new music this forum has recommended.   ;D ;D ;D

And? Do you like it? ;D

Yes indeed.  It's a bit 'EuroMetal by Numbers' inna Nightwish stylee, I guess, but very well executed with catchy tunes.  I've had it for about a week and feel safe in saying I'd buy more CDs by them but they'll never be amongst my all-time faves.  But then the same can be said about most bands!  ;D

This was a quote from you in the Yes thread.

Yeah, I had remembered that, Iggy (I'm not that senile (yet)), but your wording was a bit obscure; guess you meant that specifically the QPR collection could be regarded as "this one historical interest only". Is that correct ?

NP  Gary Hughes:  Once and Future King  *horns* *horns* *horns*

Terrific music and musicianship, and tremendous scope.

Particularly the limeys oughtta get this one (on Arthurian legend, and with Bob Catley, Damian Wilson, Irene Jansen, and Lana Lane in the mix).

Man, what people are willing to miss cause of all their quirks  ::)

Today I played "Edenbridge - MyEarthDream".

At the moment I'm trying out a few bands through MySpace.
And I'm using this list.

At the moment it is "Il Bacio Della Medusa" with the song "Ricordi Del Supplizio".

Musically it sounds ok (but I'm not falling from my chair...) but the voice is not really my cup of tea.
It sounds a bit cliché...

It could be the case if Linkin Park didn't decide to call the remix P5hng Me A*Wy. ;D
