Beardfish - The Sane Day.

Really getting into this one now.  Earlier today I played 'Sleeping in Traffic Part 1' and 'Sleeping in Traffic Part 2' which seemed to put me back in Beardfish mode - 'The Sane Day' now seems to be a natural with me despite getting off to a slow start.  Interestingly, I was playing Simon Says' 'Tardigrade' on the train home this evening, and was struck by just how much Simon Says have in common with Beardfish.

They're a Birmingham band, I doubt if they could source the raw materials in that quantity.  ;)

Funny. I'm also playing Beardfish though not A Sane Day.
The only album i've got is Sleeping In Traffic pt I so it's not very hard for all of you to guess what the album is that i'm playing right now.  ::)

Has it clicked with you yet?  Or is it turning out to be not quite your cup of tea?

I still haven't really decided what i think of it. I like it but it's weird.
It's more accessible then The Mars Volta which i really really really don't like.

The singer's voice sound like Steve Winwood btw.  :D

I was hugely into The Mars Volta a year or two back, and played Frances & Deloused to death.  But then the novelty seemed to wear off and I rarely play them these days...

Blimey, it's so long since I heard Steve Winwood that I can't honestly say I remember what he sounds like. :o  Another Beardfish comparison that's sprung to mind is Focus.  I'm not saying they sound like Focus as a whole, but there's certainly the odd moment that makes Focus pop into my mind.  No bad thing, as I like Focus.  8)
