Quote from: Nicky007 on Tue, 2008-03-11, 03:43:00The idea of reincarnation is deeply lodged in the Greek-Roman-Christian culture. You find it discussed explicitly by i.a. Pythagoras, Platon, Kant, Goethe, Wagner, and even our dear Danish Grundtvig.

I'm very interested.

I always thought that when you're dead, you don't come back on earth again...
And the people you mention can all be great thinkers, but I don't find the word "reincarnation" in my bible.

Can you send me a PM about it? ;D

I don't find the word "reincarnation" in my bible.

You have the example of Elias -> John, which some people interpret as a case of reinc, but true, that's about it. But then we must remember that the Bible is not an encyclopedia.

You can do some searching on the net yourself, Paco. E.g. google "reincarnation Pythagoras".

You'l find another interesting thing about Pythagoras: He was a vegetarian - 2500 years ago !

Apropos:

That's no reincarnation. Elias didn't die (2 Kings 2).

;) People (especially the KiskePumpkins) tend to forget that they had given up on the band after the steep tumble (according to the same people) that was the "Pink Chameleon" period, and that everyone rejoiced when "Master of the rings" came out. I like all their albums, though I have a bit more trouble with the really old stuff - and I adore towards worship the last SIX albums in a row!! -And that has something to do with song writing. Who's the world's three best song writers?

Björn and Benny (both of ABBA) and Andi. Further down the list we have Lennon, McCartney, Simon, Garfunkel... You get the picture. 8)

The Codex - The codex

I am wary of the plastic/conveyour belt aspect of this Magnus Karlsson dude that Frontiers has hired as an "in-house" song writer, spewing out new product from more or less manufactured outfits (Allen/Lande, Starbreaker... a bunch, really). But I can't help enjoying this album. Truly enjoyable songs. I am happy that I only own Starbreaker already, so I am not that bothered by the recognizability of his formulaic song construction.

Great work from Mark Boals, as always. :)
