Okay, here goes nothing:

I've bought:

Porcupine Tree - Stupid Dream CD/DVD. Already had the original but this one has a DVD attached to it and it was only €9.99.
PC Game X-Men Legends: Rise Of Apocalypse. Had to have it. Not a X-men fan for no reason and it was €3.99.  8)
Spiderman 3 DVD. Already had 1 and i also had prt 2. But because this 2disc set was, again, €3.99 i had to have it.

And...

Not only to please someone...

Scar Symmetry - Pitch Black Progress and Holographic Universe.  ;D

And not because they were €3.99, because they weren't.  ;)

Hehehehe great! ;D

Tell me all about this Scandinavian (EVEN SWEDISH!!!) band please! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Iggy

Genesis 76 - 82 SACD/DVD boxed set.

A bit pricey but as I had the original CD's not the remastered ones not as bad as it could have been.

I bought 2 from Candlemass - Epicus doomicus mettalicus and Nightfall for £8 in Zavvi

Fancied a bit of doom metal for a change and they are as heavy as you like - excellent stuff

Zavvi took over the Virgin shops here but are now in administration  :o 20% off all cds though so i got them for £16 instead of £20  *horns*

They are a change from prog and a lot of fun - blow Metallica out of the water and they have a new album out soon

Then you should get your hands on Tales Of Creation too.
In my opinion their best.  8)

Have you heard their latest album already? I think it's their best one yet!

No, I haven't.  I'm not a huge fan of the band, really, but don't mind a quick burst if the price is right! 8)

Ahhh that's really cool! 8)

I must say, I like volume 1 better than volume 2...
It's pure beauty, that album.
Volume 2 are good songs. Volume 1 is a beautiful feeling, a theme. It's a poem. It's art.
I love it.

Enough now...

People, I'm having a problem. A very difficult choice has to be made.
I want to buy a Marillion DVD.
But I'm not sure which one to get: Somewhere In London or Marbles On The Road.

Perhaps I end up buying both! ;D
But I need some money first! Does anyone here have an idea?

They're both of similar excellence, IMHO, both worth getting.  Whichever one you start with I don't think you'll go wrong...

I like Marbles On The Road a lot, but I think Somewhere In London is better to be honest. Especially in terms of image quality (MOTR is quite dark), but I also think the sound is superior. Plus, it gives a better view on Marillion's catalog. The band is on fire on both releases though, but that is no surprise!

Some very good points there, none of which I'd particularly disagree with. 8)  On the other side of the coin, however, MOTR is more focussed on Marbles which is my fave M album - there's no right answer! :D

Another factor that might influence a purchase is you can get the 'Colours & Sound' DVD (well worth having) for a low price if you buy it at the same time as MOTR - see http://www.marillion.com/shop/offers/index.htm for details.

The Marillion Shop says the following about Colours & Sound: "This item is scheduled for deletion - this means once remaining stock has sold out, it will not be re-manufactured."

Well, I think it will be "Marbles On The Road" then!
I like bonuses and extras, so I think an offer like "Colours And Sound" I cannot resist.
Besides, I also REALLY like the album "Marbles". In fact, it's one of my favourites! And I don't know "Somewhere Else" that well. Although, I have heard that it isn't as good as "Marbles"...

So, "Marbles On The Road" it will be!
The other one will come after that! ;D

Thanks for the ideas guys!

Been istening to Ancient Dreams and Tales of creation for a week now. Both are decent enough but not as good as Epicus or Nightfall

Candlemass and King of the grey islands next for me  *horns*
