Another French band that I can recommend from the bits that I have heard is Spheric Universe Experience

I know them, Bupie. I have their Unreal (from 2009).

I like them, but not as much as the three bands I mentioned above.

Another band named Lazuli seems interesting too.

Got this on CD yesterday and hadn't heard it since borrowing it on vinyl circa 1980.  I recently came across the exact borrowed vinyl copy at a friend's house so just had to get a copy for myself!

Haken's Richard Henshall joined the mix for Exile. His touch is very noticeable. All in all a most remarkable album

Actually, he never really left the scene.

In 1999, same year as Dali's Dilemma, he was also the keyboard player of Zero Hour's debut album and the third album Metamorphosis.
Also in 1999 Matt and Mike Mangini became a member of James LaBrie's band MullMuzzler, recorded two albums under that flag, and have been working with LaBrie ever since.
