Edenbridge - The grand design

Manatee

Gazpacho - Tick Tock

Like Iggy, I decided to go for the download, which is about 25% of the best CD price I could find, plus that would have to be shipped overseas.  If it shows up at Amazon in CD form eventually, I could probably buy that if I really want to and have the total cost not be more than importing a CD now, plus it does have the virtue that I can listen to it right now.   ;D

Yep I hate downloading I like to have the physical copy. I think it is due to some of the fantastic album covers/packaging available in the past.

Me too, also CDs don't have hard-drive failures. I guess the thing to do is to burn a back-up copy to CD.  No case or artwork, but if my computer explodes, I'll still have the music.  I assume the copy for personal use rule applies to MP3 purchases too.   If not, please don't sic the MP3 police on me.   :o

Several extra hard drives help as well.

You could always upload the MP3s to the web, that way it's always in reach, whatever your hard drive decides to do. ;D

Interesting idea, but it may be considered naughty in some circles.

NP:  Gazpacho - Tick Tock  (again)

This album is great.  Somebody ought to tell Maddox about it.   ;)

Six of one, half a dozen of the other.  My Circus Maximus 'The First Chapter' is split and I don't have an mp3 backup - can't remember when I last heard that album.  The last track on my copy of Karnataka's live album won't play on any CD player or computer we've got. >:(

These days I check every CD I buy within 24 hours rather than leaving them in a pile and finding defects too late.  And I back up everything obsessively.

It certainly is.  In more ways than one :(

If it's not too much trouble, that would be kind of you.  The camaradie of The Room fair brings a tear to my eye sometimes ;)

You're both right.  Don't know what I was thinking.

If Mad won't play it, some one ought to.

Morning, gents.  I'm up late as usual.  Was wrestling with my computer in an attempt to get it to recognize a RAM upgrade.  I fought it to a draw - it's currently admitting to half the upgrade.

I'm toying with the idea of getting that.  I rejected it initially, because the various online extracts sounded uninspiring.  But online extracts normally do, and if Roomies like it... *horns*

Even worse, it's where one of the cats hides 'bits' when he decides a change of litter tray scenery is merited >:(

Actually, the online samples I heard, along with multiple Room endorsements, convinced me to get it.  Dunno if we heard the same samples, but I'd be stunned if you disliked it.  Once I get around to not playing Tick Tock continuously, I think I'm going to buy the download of Night too.   *horns*

10,000 Roomies can't be wrong.  Seriously, this has got to be the front-runner for Album of 2009.  One more time through whilst I imbibe my last Swine Flu Amber before bed.
