NP: Led Zeppelin - In Through the Out Door

Not prog, but sort of proggy for LZ.   *horns*

Did you have a vinyl copy, with the inner sleeve you could paint with water and colours would appear? 8)

Nope, I was a late-comer to the Zeppelin fold.  My college friends had tickets to see them when the tour was canceled due to Bonzo's untimely demise.  I wasn't going to go along since I didn't like them yet (heard Stairway to Heaven 8 billion times on the radio and went "blech")  .  In fact, the only Zep album I have on vinyl (if I recall correctly, which I may not) is, of all things, Presence.  I did know dozens of other people with the funky brown-bagged album though.

I was never much of a Zepp fan, although I did buy the albums.  'Out Door' is always memorable because of the painty inner sleeve.  I think that apart from the awesome 'Presence', that was the most fun I ever had with a Zeppelin album ;D ;D ;D

Physical Graffiti is the one for me.

I was lucky enough to see them twice although there was 28 years in between performances.

The second time had Bonzo Jr. on drums?

Yep it did indeed

NP: Demians - Building an Empire

It wouldn't surprise me if this album has gotten more play from the denizens of this board than from the whole rest of the world.

I tried that in the car earlier.  It sucked less than the radio.  :P

However, I eventually stopped because I have Terria in the car, which unsucks.

NP Megadeth - Countdown To Extinction

After more than five complete listens, I am still far from being grabbed like I was by Youthanasia. Apart from a few songs (notably Skin O' My Teeth, Symphony For Destruction and the title track), the music is not melodic enough for my taste. Since most reviewers of this album describe it as the first Megadeth album with real melodies, I think ordering Rust In Peace was a daring move  :-X  We'll see/hear when it arrives ...

Metallica - Garage Inc.

I've always found Metallica to be a little more tuneful than Megadeth, albeit in a skullcrushing kinda way appropriate to the genre.  Not that this has prevented me from building up a modest Megadeth collection, I should point out! 8)

You'll, no doubt wonder what I'm doing awake.  Well, I share your confusion.  However, that being the case:

NP: Kamelot - Ghost Opera (double special important person edition)
was playing Kamelot - Epica and The Black Halo

Clearly Nicky needs to get his connection back, so he can bask in the glow of me becoming a Kamelot-head as opposed to some wuss who listens to Coldplay (who really are good, btw ).

I think I agree (and I own the "Smell the Glove" CD of Metallica's), but I find that Devin Townsend crushes my skull in by far the most entertaining ways.

Ah, you quote the holy Book of Beasties.  My dad was born in Brooklyn.  I was born in Queens.  And no that doesn't mean that I slept with Freddie Mercury. :P

In fact, I am somewhat nocturnal by nature, and atm what I have in the way of work is on my own time at my computer, so I'm really up whenever the heck I feel like it.  This will continue until I decide I really don't want to be broke and someone decides they really want to hire a weirdo like me.   ;D

As they said in the movie Night Shift, the preferred term is "love broker."
