NP: Devin Townsend - Infinity

iTunes tells me I've only played this one four times before. :o  Obviously, I had to take immediate steps.

I think I'll do something drastic and create a Demians topic in Other Bands now since I promised Tom my impressions of it, and I don't see an existing thread.

Manatee

NP: Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine

I was so distracted noticing how great his other six albums were that I almost forgot how great this one is.   *horns*

Gong - Shamal.

The Shamal tour was the first time I saw Gong, and I remember being disappointed that Steve Hillage wasn't with them but bowled over by how bl**dy excellent they were.  Anyway, as it turned out there would be plenty of chances to see Hillage play in his own right in the coming years *horns*

Perhaps some of it's a function of location, but still, I get the feeling that anyone who can say "the first time I saw Gong" in all seriousness is among the elite of prog connoisseurs.    :o

Lol, but I think you're right about the location bit.  Over here, R.E.M. didn't play in our brother's bedroom ;)

Well, outside his bedroom.  If they had been actually in his bedroom, Michael Stipe would surely have broken a leg tripping over all the junk on the floor.  My brother's much less messy now that he has children to be messy for him.

I'd say a Michael Stipe beats a House-Elf ;)

I will say, however, that I could do without the gratuitous piercing scream at the end of the bonus track.   :-\

It's entirely possible that Michael Stipe is a house-elf.  Have you ever seen him and Dobby in the same place at the same time?

NP: Devin Townsend - Physicist

because I'm in that kind of mood, and the first track, 'Namaste', kicks some major bootay.

An interesting possibility, and one that I hadn't considered.  I shall give it some thought as I lie abed soon - I need to get some sleep as I've got double-potions in the morning, followed by Quidditch practise ;)

Night all! *horns*

Well, it's rockier/heavier, which is more likely to appeal to some folk.  Personally I'm a major Pendragon freak anyway, but yes, I found Pure to be something special on top of this *horns*

Seconded  8)

Bryan Adams - Reckless
Don' worry, I am just caught in a teenage nostalgia that (hopefully) shoud not last. But this guy was good in the 80's  :)

The Tangent ~ Not As Good As The Book

Pretty decent album.
By the way, has any of you lot ever read the book that comes with it?
I still have to, just like The Salt btw.

Stunning album, but I regret to report I was too much of a peasant to get the more expensive version! ;D
