I'v played Maiden several times, and I can hear that they're good, but somehow they don't quite do it for me, same as e.g. Pearl Jam.

Hard to say why, maybe there's just not enuff unusual stuff to catch my attention and grip me.

Oh my, I made a mistake...... I typed down Iron Maiden when I was actually playing Queensÿche's The Mission... I'm not even sure Iron Maiden has a song with the same name...

Glad to hear, Bups. FW are definitely top league, nothing sensational, in fact rather discreet, but once ya get into it, the music is just as gripping as DT

Actually, there's a lot of truth in what you say as I've only just got around to ripping any Plant CDs to the computer, which means I probably haven't played them in the last 2 to 3 years.  Normally if I get a CD out to play on the Big HiFi I'll also rip it at the same time.  Doesn't time fly by?  A personal Plant fave is 'Manic Nirvana', by the way

Listening to the third track earlier, I thought "that sounds like Richard Thompson on guitar" - pulled the CD, checked the booklet and it is indeed Mr Thompson.  Possibly the most recognisable guitarist on the planet?

Just ripped it myself.  I really enjoy the cover of Toys in the Attic -- fun to hear them do a straight-ahead hard rock song for a change.
