The Butterfly Man

Quote from: Nicky007 on Wed, 2009-02-18, 09:51:33
I'v played Maiden several times, and I can hear that they're good, but somehow they don't quite do it for me, same as e.g. Pearl Jam.

Hard to say why, maybe there's just not enuff unusual stuff to catch my attention and grip me.

Oh my, I made a mistake...... :o I typed down Iron Maiden when I was actually playing Queensÿche's The Mission... :-[ I'm not even sure Iron Maiden has a song with the same name...

NP: Karnivool - Themata

Tie Dye On The Highway - Robert Plant

Nobody here listens to this guy either, and that is also a serious lapse of judgement  ;)

His Mighty ReArranger is super 8)

Glad to hear, Bups. FW are definitely top league, nothing sensational, in fact rather discreet, but once ya get into it, the music is just as gripping as DT  *horns*

Sez who?  I played the 'Ship of Fools' CD single only yesterday ;D

Actually, there's a lot of truth in what you say as I've only just got around to ripping any Plant CDs to the computer, which means I probably haven't played them in the last 2 to 3 years.  Normally if I get a CD out to play on the Big HiFi I'll also rip it at the same time.  Doesn't time fly by?  A personal Plant fave is 'Manic Nirvana', by the way 8)

Now playing: Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears. Another artist that I've only just got around to ripping!

Def Leppard - X

I may be on a minority here but like this one a lot  8)  It has some great songs (i.e. Torn To Shreds)

Plus, they made a nice video for Now.

NP Nothing at the moment

Re: Robert Plant - Ditto what Steve said -- I've also got a bunch of Plant discs but hadn't played them in a while.

NP (and ripping): Robert Plant - Fate of Nations  ;)

Edited because I just woke up, and my typing was even worse than usual.  :P

Listening to the third track earlier, I thought "that sounds like Richard Thompson on guitar" - pulled the CD, checked the booklet and it is indeed Mr Thompson.  Possibly the most recognisable guitarist on the planet?

NP: Robert Plant - Manic Nirvana.
I love this album, it's a bit different from normal Planty I think. *horns*

Great version of 'King of the Road' on that album - another one I need to dig out and rip!

Just ripped it myself.  I really enjoy the cover of Toys in the Attic -- fun to hear them do a straight-ahead hard rock song for a change.

NP: R.E.M. - Fables of the Reconstruction - 1. Feeling Gravitys Pull

Ripping this one now.  Really no excuse not to have all their stuff on my computer -- they're a personal favorite.
