I will very soon have Pendragon - Pure on in the car on the way to work. At work I WILL break the rules and have my mp3 player on probably starting where I left off last night/this morning with Edguy - Rocket Ride.

Never heard of this one. How does it sound like ?

I assume you know both Gary Moore and Phil Lynott. Gary once was a guitarist in Thin Lizzy.
This song Out In The Fields is recorded in 1983.
Lots of childhood memories rise when i hear this song. Everyone seemed to dislike the song except for me and a friend at school.

You can watch the song on Youtube.

Trust me, this song rocks!!!  *horns*

NP Sacrifice - Edguy. This is one really great album (Rocket Ride) I recommend it to the room.

Not at work now. I sent myself home before I threw a total wobbly. Lots of shit happening and undue pressure being applied. I'm not going to play those games.

NP Manning - Number Ten.  Excellent album and highly recommended.  I'm trying to give it my undivided attention at the moment, which isn't always easy at Jones Towers! ::)

Hey, that doesnt sound good, John. Are you leaving your present job ?

That very much depends what happens when I get back, I've been signed off for a week minimum and already feel better knowing I have some time to get myself sorted out both physically and mentally. I've had this viral throat infection that seems to have taken half of Europe out and trying to deal with management that seem to think they know better than me how I feel and what I can do has just pushed me to far. The problem I have is where I am now we are very well paid compared to the local average so as much as I might want to leave i'd almost certainly have to take a pay cut. A modest cut I could manage but there are not many jobs in that league.

Tom, absolutely music to my taste. Very varied and imaginative. Some of it is delicate and dreamy, occasionally like Anathema. And at other times it gets very heavy and intense.

I'l definitely get some of their albums.

Thanks, Tom, for this great tip  :)

That sorta music is rather remote from my taste. It seems monotonous to me, the grey noisy fast guitars and grunt (more than growl).

NP  We Are the Ocean  on MySpace

Much more appealing to me, altho it doesnt seem particularly original. Good regular melodic hard rock, with some screamo that I like. But presently I'm not considering getting any albums by'm.

Anyone into any of these two groups ?

Good choice but it seems that love is not the first preoccupation of the fools you have to deal with ...

They'v put so much care and attention into each one of the thirteen tracks on this album.

Guess they were aware that they were making music for the ages  *horns*

Admittedly, it's very dense - music for repeated listening  8)

Mad, has the baby displaced this album again ?  :-X

Tom, are you into SV ?  If not, then  ;)

No, I'm not really into Steve Vai to be honest. I don't really have a good reason why, but sometimes when you listen to something that you are 'supposed' to like that special feeling is just not there. A feeling I do have with guitarplayers like John Mitchell, John Petrucci, Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert for example.

You're welcome! I already had a feeling that you would like Dark Suns. Your description of their music is quite accurate I think, so there's no need to add something to that! :)

Ah nothing serious, I'm doing fine! :) It's just because I'm in the middle of a very busy week with a couple of birthdays, band rehearsals, work related stuff and hanging out with (girl)friend(s) ;) so that leaves almost no time to check what's going on in here. But come tomorrow I'll have more time, I hope...
