Right, Paxi. And while we're at it, I'd also like to name Circus Maximus, Queen, Supertramp and Fleetwood Mac as groups that A.C.T remind me of, altho A.C.T of course are a lot more prog than Fleetwood, but it's sorta the pixie thingy.

A.C.T have placed themselves ingeniously and neatly at the border between radio friendly and experimental/progressive. Lyricswise they're very prog  8)

They got a better chance than most other prog groups to break thru. Hopefully their next album .....

Betcha. Fire Garden is a masterpiece  *horns*  There's something for all roomies on it, I'd say  ;)

Hey, guys, are we serious here or what ?  Steve Vai is far more than a guitar acrobat, he's a great composer, lyricist, versatile guitar player, keyboards wizard - and on top of it, vegetarian  *horns*

brocolli

Hey, Jonesey, did you say you were English ?  :o

The correct spelling is broccoli. Now, had you been veggie, you would'v known at least that  :-[

Just goes to show that veggies are brighter than carnies - thus, Sieges Uneven !

I did !

How about if you had to kill and slit up the cows and pigs yourself, Paxi ?

If that's what I need to survive, I certainly would. I have a pocket knife! ;D
But I certainly have respect for people who don't want to eat meat because of their conscience.
Most of the time, the problem is that the other way round there's not that much empathy.

But I love you Nicky! :-*

"Tolerance" may have been a better word to use here than "empathy", or, Paxi ?

My attitude is that if killing animals and eating them is an integrated part of a culture, like for the Lapps and Greenlanders, and for hunters who do it respectfully, then I can respect it.

However, most people in our parts of the world more and more push the killing aspect from them, and thus have to live with a growing conflict. It's obvious that meateating is unnecessary, and as I mentioned earlier, there's probably no other human habit as destructive to the biosphere as meateating.

Once one has quit it for good, it becomes as alien as smoking, heroin shooting, and the like. However, longstanding vegetarians usually settle down to realising that meateating is deeply entrenched in our civilisation, so it's something we have to live with, for a while iac.
