;D Great!

How long will I have to wait for the actual album?
I ordered it on 28th of October, and the status became "Processing Order" on last Thursday...
I was hoping I would have it by now... But maybe tomorrow! ;D I can't wait!

I just got an email that my Happiness has shipped and should arrive within 14 days!

So, between now and then I will not play the album anymore.
Let's play something else instead! (No... not that Marillion album ;D)

AC/DC - Bonfire Disc #2: Let There Be Rock The Movie.

Is this the movie where there is a scene picturing a race between a car and a plane while Walk All Over You is being played as a soundtrack ?

I saw it at the cinema when it was released some, hu, thirty years ago. It was the beginning of the Dolby Sound. Just blew my head and ears off  *horns*  I would love to see it again but I am not sure it aged well.

I'm not sure.  I've seen the movie (might even have it on video somewhere) but not for years.  I was just listening to the soundtrack, a double CD which is part of the 'Bonfire' boxed set from some years back.

NP: Pallas - The Sentinel.

I just came back from a friend, and in the bus I was listening to:

Neal Morse - Lifeline

And it has to be said: he has done it again.
Actually that's all that can be said, but I won't stop there.

He has done it again!! Musically a very good album, it's all quality (and a good bit of quantity too ("So Many Roads")). No real fillers here.
And...
He has done it again... I listened to "Testimony", "One", "?" and "Sola Scriptura" in only one hour.

Anyway, I consider this album the worse of the best, and an excellent starters position for anyone who want to dive into Neal Morse's material!
No contradiction here.

NP  Orphaned land:  Mabool

Israelian metal band  :o

Unusual blend of Israelian folk music and metal.

They sing in both English, Hebrew, and Latin. There's some nice Old Testamental growling.

Just started listening properly to'm.

Anyone else into'm ?  :)

You played'm at three times the standard speed, Paxi ?  That's of course very efficient. Only problem is that you make Mickey Mouse outta everything  ;D

NP  Orphaned Land:  Mabool  (on repeat)

Turns out that it's real good. Gripping rhythms, solid metal foundation, oriental moods, nice melodies, classy guitar playing, interesting lyrics  *horns*

Recommended hereby  :)

Anyone know of other good Israeli rock bands ?

Interesting (Wiki, my boldface):  "The Never Ending Way of ORwarriOR is the fourth full-length studio album by the Israeli metal band Orphaned Land. According to the band's official MySpace page, the album has a tentative release date of late 2008 or early 2009, after many delays. OrWarrior means "warrior of light", representing a conceptual hero of the battle of light versus darkness. OrWarriOr will be Orphaned Land's second concept album. Orphaned Land is currently working on the new album with producer Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree. The album will also have a different sound than Mabool."

Thanks, Mad, the excerpts on MySpace are really exciting  http://www.myspace.com/omerephrat . Their studio album (only one presently) No One's Words  http://www.amazon.com/No-Ones-Words-Ephrat/dp/B001BWQ0BO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1225836719&sr=1-1  went straight to my SL. Steven Wilson produced this one too (and did more than produce, which one can hear clearly in the MySpace excerpts). One thing I like a lot about Ephrat is that the singing, in English, is very clear and enjoyable (which unfortunately is not my experience (yet) with Amaseffer, but now I might get it anyhow)  ;D :)

There are clear references to Eleven, one of my fave groups, that seem to be pretty much unknown to other roomies  ;)

I loooooooove Ephrat! :D Great melodies, and quite heavy as well. And I enjoy the singing much more than for instance Amaseffer.

I was really surprised by this album. One of the best of 2008!

Oh, and it's produced by Steven Wilson as well...I wonder if he ever does something that is not related to music whatsoever! ;D

No, cause he's vegetarian (clearly):  "I didn't know about Steven Wilson being vegetarian until recently. He mentioned it in an interview a few months ago." - PTree15, on Veggie Boards  http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=82636&page=32 .

1: Going to the toilet? I heard he has people who get paid for going to the toilet for him.
2: Washing his car? You mean his space ship.
3: Making a chicken sandwich? He's a vegetarian.
4: Reparing his bike? You mean his private jet.
5: Buying new glasses? He just wears glasses in order to fit in among the regular people.

Anything else?
