Ah, and you like it?

Since last summer I really got into Ray Wilson and his newest album "SHE" with Stiltskin.
Brilliant stuff! Ok, not prog, but it rocks! And it's got keyboards in it in a subtle way.

I think Ray has really developed himself as a songwriter. I simply LOVE his first studio album "Change". Beautiful songs on that one.
SHE is also perfect.

The Next Best Thing is not my favourite to be honest. Maybe I should listen to it more.

I'll do it right away!

Well, actually it was the first time that I heard these albums. Got it from a friend. Some tracks are a little too 'softy' for me, but when you are in the mood ........ . I have heard some great songs on these albums, with nice keyboarding for sure!
I like Ray's singing on the Genesis album 'Calling all stations'.

np>> Robbie Williams - [Rudebox (2006)  #16]: Summertime (10:53)

Boy, how I love the man... The whole album is an hommage to the past, the 80s the 90s, first s*x, the music of the time, so great and so...real. A little obscene, too :) Great.
Arriving somewhere, but not here....

You mean Robbie Williams wrote a 10+ minute song??!??!?? :o :o :o :o :o :o

That one is actually two songs in one, so "Summertime" is something around 6.5 minutes, and the other one 3 minutes, with 30 seconds silence in between... don't ask me why... they also didn't print the lyrics to this song in the booklet, because it would consist 40% of the word "di**head"...

Wow, that explains a lot! ;D
I was almost scared that I had to consider buying one of his albums.

I'm glad he's still a jerk writing mainstream songs, so I can still hate him. :D

Hmmm maybe I was a bit rude...
Sorry for that.

Now playing:
Phil Collins: Testify - Wake Up Call

That's a very nice song! :o I listened to it a while ago and thought it was really good *horns*. But I don't know, I like Anoraknophobia better... :-[ I'll have to listen to Marbles again then! I'll do it right away! But after Phil Collins has left my speakers.

Very relaxing and of course the beautiful voice of Tracy. I simply LOVE her voice. One of the best female voices I know.

Today I didn't feel very happy, so I stayed in bed most of the time.
I was listening to The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis. Man, I love it. It's geting better every time I listen to it, I think it's the most abstract album I've got and I was never fond on it. But it's something that grows on you.
I've also listened to Free by OSI. I think it's really good actually. Very electronic and all, but that doesn't bother me. It's also very abstract in some way. It's like... Ehhmm... Mondriaan or Picasso but with sound. ;D Kevin Moore is an artist, you can hear that.
I've also heard a bit of Window To The Soul by GPS. Good stuff! Very likeable at first, and I'm sure that it will get even better when I listen more to it. One song... Ehhmm... Written By The Wind (if I remember correctly) is REALLY good! Haven't heard the rest though.

By the way, I ABSOLUTELY DON'T like Picasso or Mondriaan... Music is art. Even the experimental music. It can grow on me. But an experimental painting... well, get's worse every time I look at it.

EDIT: While my dad was playing C&C: Red Alert 2 I made sure he was listening to Porcupine Tree's Deadwing. ;D
After that we had a discussion about music, about how Progressive Music is surperior to other music, hehehehe. ;D ;) (Hence the capitals on "Progressive Music").
"But", he said, "Irish folk music and flamenco is also brilliant!"
I can't deny that.

I also love this album. The track 'New Jerusalem' is simply amazing, what a guitar- and keyboardsolo  *horns*.

BTW: I hope that you are feeling better now, PH.
