I mostly agree, although they have their moments.  My brother, who actually has fairly good musical taste for a callow youth of 44, used to be a fanatic for them.

Either Haywood or Lodge's (I forget which) mother used to live in the next road to my parents.  You always knew when he was visiting because of the Roller parked outside.
