Strangeways, Here We Come - The Smiths

I thought we got bonus points for smartarsery.

As I understand it, Strangeways is actually an area in London.  Around here, we normally have to go into the wilds of central Pennsylvania to find place names that entertaining.

A prison in Manchester.

Even better (and ample proof that I'm a clueless Yank). BTW, IQ are Brits, so how come they didn't name their new song 'Strangeways Skies?'  Despite 'Harvest of Souls', they're unlikely to get chucked into Riker's Island in New York.

Edit: I suppose I should contribute to the game and not just banter:

Clearly the convict demographic is a pivotal element they hope to leverage with their marketing strategy :o

Despite my admiration for them (or perhaps even enhancing it), I think "IQ marketing strategy" is clearly an oxymoron.  See above edit for actual game continuation.

The Long Run - Eagles

I sure seem to site these guys a lot for a band that I don't even like all that much.  They do get some points for calling their reunion album "Hell Freezes Over" in reference to when they'd previously said they'd reunite.

A career highlight, IMHO - especially 'Get Over It' *horns*
I first heard it being used as a demo CD in a Hi-Fi shop not long after it was released.  I had to find a record shop and buy a copy for that track alone 8)
