All in all not a bad album.

Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

NP: Marillion - Crash Course

WP: Marillion - Afraid of Sunlight

Thus far, I like 'Whatever Is Wrong With You' a lot and 'This Train Is My Life' a fair bit.  The others haven't sunk in yet, except 'Afraid of Sunlight', and I've decided I like that whole album.

Steve - have you moved onto Sea Mammal Savings Time?

Sounds a bit too greenpeace for me  ;D

No, we're over at my parents for a week, so normal service is disrupted somewhat.  I'm sneeking a quick online session while sitting on the bed in the guestroom at the moment 8)

Hey Nicky, what are you up to? You're not very active in the Room these days!

Thanks for asking, Tom.

Several reasons:

Mainly I havent been able to pay for my internet connection, and my only other possibilities are the libraries and a few minutes at work now and then. Every second weekend I'm at Ms 007 in Malmö, but the last few weekends there have been pretty busy.

Second, there hasnt been all that much of interest to me in the Room lately. I'm only slightly interested in H-Marillion, and I mainly listen to them together with Ms, who likes them. IQ and Frost* arent either my thing, and while I havent really listened to Pat Benatar, I doubt that his music would grip me.

Third, I feel that I have contributed a lot lately to the Room. Now some other roomies can take over. (Jonesy and Greenie are plenty active.) Also I'm waitin a bit for some contributions on Queensrÿche, Nevermore and Ten.

Of course, the conviviality and humor of the Room are unique, and I do miss that, but Cap seems to keep the ship sailin thru all sorts'o weather, so I'l be back and bug ya guys in all ways  ;D :)

NP  Angra:  Rebirth  *horns*

Fine, but not pantheon class to my taste  :-\

Well, although not FASM compatible, his first two albums are really excellent classic rock, way more pleasant and clever than most AOR acts of the same period ... and more recent ones !  But as I already mentioned in the Room, I don't use proselytism, especially with Stubbornicky  ;D

JP Megadeth - Rust In Peace   God, I would have never suspected that those guys were so good. I don't know if Holy Wars, Hangar 18 or Tornado Of Souls are representative of thrash metal but to me it looks more like first class prog metal  *horns*

NP Blind Guardian - Live  First try with this German band and it seems very interesting too. Very melodic speed metal, even in this live rendition.

I'm nearly certain that it would not, although you might like it if Pat gripped you since Pat is a she.   ;D
For the record, she's not really horrible.  She can sing.  I just don't much care for her music with a couple exceptions.

NP: Porcupine Tree - Nil Recurring

I have about half an hour before I have to leave again, and since there are no women or beers present, I can't think of a better use of the time.   ;D

Shows how much I care  ::)

But I think that I have the "he" from Bupsie, and as he's the pundit on a*s & b*s, I'm not so sure about your hypothesis, Greenie  ;D

Prog rules  *horns* ;D

Prog and lovely women correlate low, and with progmetal the correlation tends toward zero, but prog and beer correlate fully - so while ya have to devote yourself fully to a woman, you can combine the other two pleasures  8) :D

I don't either with people who don't care about good music, but sometimes when people like A, and A is close to B, I might use some persuasion.

Gonna try out Napalm Death when I get home (from the local library). Any of ya guys into'm ?

Absolutely not.

Even in my Metal-days i didn't had the nerve to listen to them.
Heard only one song of them, i even can't recall the name of the song, but it was definitely not my cup of Orange tea.

I may not be French, but I'm still fairly good at recognizing a woman when I see one.  I'm sure Bupie will confirm Pat's gender unless he's having a bit of fun with this.  Besides, her voice is nearly as high a Geddy Lee's.  ;D   Also, she looks something like my cousin Kim, whose husband and children would be very surprised indeed if she turned out to be a man.   :o

NP:  Arena - The Visitor

Feeling a bit out of sorts, and that calls for the big prog guns.   *horns*

I confirm, although Pat's breast is not as impressive as his her first albums' music.

NW - Epica videoclips on the 2 Meters Sessies DVD.

I know many Roomies are Dutch, so forgive me, but those videos are pretty lame, especially the Feint one. The band members look really ridiculous with their black mourning armbands and Simone, despite being beautiful as hell, doesn't act great to say the least ... which is forgivable considering that she was only 19 by the time of the shooting.

I know I'm supposed to be a green sea mammal, but as I'm about to go to sleep, I'd prefer any women I dream of to be sans flippers.   That green woman on one of the early Star Trek episodes wasn't half bad though.   ::)

NP: Game Theory - 2 Steps From the Middle Ages

WP: REM - Accelerate  -- It's growing on me, although I don't think it will ever be one of my favorites of theirs.

WWP: Porcupine Tree - Warszawa -- Even the really weird parts are entertaining.   *horns*
