I haven't heard Tick Tock yet, but it can't be as good as this one. It's simply not possible.

What a fabulous album!

How would you define it, especially in comparison with Fates Warning ?

Arena - Breakfast in Biarritz

I had one once and it was very romantic. La côte basque is really a charming place. Great title for an album, too.

I had a McDonalds drive-thru Breakfast in Telford the other day.  I didn't notice a romantic element ;)

I'm afraid I can't really answer that one, since I'm not too familiar with Fates Warning. I do know that Ray Alder is a tremendous singer, which he showcases in spectacular fashion on 'The Origins Of Ruin'! Overall this album is pretty heavy, but there's a lot of melody to be found. If you're interested, check http://www.myspace.com/thebandredemption for a couple of songs. 'The Suffocating Silence' and 'Bleed Me Dry' are taken from The Origins Of Ruin.

I hope this is some kind of help. :)

Great band, especially live! I saw them last year and they sure know how to put up a good show. Highly entertaining! :)

Yes, thanks  ;)

As a Dream Theater fan, you should really try Fates Warning, especially if you like Ray Alder's voice. I only have two albums from them, Perfect Symmetry and Parallels, but it's really top notch prog metal with huge silimarities in sound and music with Dream Theater I&W/Awake period. I would say that FT's music is less instrumental and probably less diverse than DT's, maybe due to the lack of keyboards (a second guitar instead), but it's nevertheless brilliant  *horns*

Yes, a magnificent bunch of chaps.  I didn't think the second album was quite as good and I haven't even bought the third yet, but 'Employment' is definitely a 1970s 2000s classic *horns*

Nicky, what then shall we say about these things?

Well, Teunis is spot on again  *horns*

In contrast to some other roomies, particularly those whose names start with P, Teunis thinks before he posts. And he doesnt ask stupid questions  ;)

Hmm... Don't think they'll agree with that...
No, I think this has got to do with either the cd player here (making scratches) or possibly the one in the car...
And... I was playing Ray Wilson's "An Audience And..." just now,  but it was infected with the scratch-virus too... :'(

What has become of this world? :'(

I just thought h's spontaneous crowd surf was a brilliant response to things going wrong.  I love that band *horns*

Edit: I love this quote:

I was in front of Steve Rothery. He was in his zone, eyes closed playing his solo. Once he finished, he opened his eyes and looked in the middle of the stage where H was supposed to be. He looked everywhere and saw H body surfing at the back of the venue. He had an expresion much like :o
