Hmm, this worries me: I'm into the fourth song, and I haven't feared permanent hearing damage once yet.   ???

You can detect clear Airbag influences in Riverside's music.   ;D

NP  Queensrÿche:  Empire  (album and song, on repeat)

Guys, I can't promise you that I'l be finished with this one by midnight. I mean, it's soooooooo good  *horns*

Queensrÿche is one of'm groups where on first listens the songs don't sound all that special, but on repeat they really really get under your skin. You can easily spend a full week on gettin into their catalog (and it's not cause I'm dim, just so ya know)  :P  ;)

For me, this was particularly the case with the awesome Q2K - took me ages until it clicked.  Before that I was, I'm embarrassed to admit, a member of the 'nothing worth listening to after Mindcrime/Empire' school of thought. :-[ :-[ :-[

Yeah, I sure recognise that, Jonesy. I spent the first year of my Queensrÿche-catalog-ownership (bit similar to green-biscuit-monsters) splotchin around here and there. Nothin really clicked seriously. Only when I got to If I Could Change It All on OM II, I got hopelessly caught. That song simply knocked me over !!!  From then on it was a like a sunny cruise  *horns* *horns* *horns*

Oh, the wonders of being a proggie  ;D  8)

Honestly, I haven't played the Trees in a while, but as I recall, I like them.  I also have Sweet Oblivion and I think one other.  They're on my to do list for today.  Seattle was rather a hotbed for music at one point (may still be for all I know).  The grunge movement was largely from there, and I actually liked quite a bit of what got called grunge.  I've never heard the solo projects.
