Indeed he has. The first two songs are almost hip-hop, with that i mean the many lyrics in one song, but the real adventure on Scarsick begins with Disco Queen in my opinion. After that the ball really rolls uphill. King Of Loss is simply one of the best and Enter Rain is a perfect dark and gloomy ending of the album.

NP> Amaseffer - Exodus: Slaves For Live

Without a doubt the best album of this year and i even dare to say that it's the best prog-album ever made!  *horns* *horns* *horns*

Wrong again. When will you ever learn that Demians already made the best album of this year? ::)

Just kidding of course. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. ;)

But I don't see it your way. Especially when you say it's the best prog-album ever. I mean, I can appreciate the Amaseffer-songs from time to time, but I find it very hard to actually listen to the whole album without getting bored. I don't know why, and I really tried, but it's just not working for me I guess... :-\

Your spell-checker seems not to be working.  The correct spelling of the band concerned is M-A-R-I-L-L-I-O-N ;) ;D

Hey, you guys are funny bunnies  ;D

NP  Amaseffer on Youtube

I already find them more exciting than both Marillion and Demians. I'v even adapted to the singing  ;)

Actually I'm turned on by some of the same moods as in Orphaned Land  8)

Let's see ....

Demians are nice, but I find them somewhat sleepytime (Tom, you shouldnt be talkin bout "boring"). I was hot on that sort'o stuff when I was your age (i.e. Tom & Mad, not Grandpa Jones, e.g. Barclay James Harvest, early Mike Oldfield, the longdrawn Floyd pieces, Jean-Michel Jarre), but now I'v gotten used to more action (how about e.g. Dillinger & Nevermore ?).

Tom, I'v taken your side so many times that now it's time to side with Mad a bit. And Jonesey is all over the place; next time it'l be Céline  ;D

I think she let it it grow again ... but I can't  ;D  be sure, cause she's not so "open" about it anymore  :D

You just like her cause of the "Brit"  :D

Maybe 'boring' isn't the right word to describe it (Dutch, remember?) , but there's just something about the music that distracts my attention quite easily. Maybe it's the vocals, maybe it's the oriental sound of the album. I don't really know. And besides, why shouldn't I be talking about boring?

I see what you mean. Objectively i can understand that. It's not an album you should listen to when you have a million things to do.
This album requires: Relaxation and total quietness in your surroundings. Meaning you have to be alone for this, all by yourself preferably in a dark room with 5.1.  8)

;D ;D ;D

But that's where you're wrong, Steve.  ;)
Funny remark though.  :D

Edit: I have to explain a bit of this: First of all, it's not a bad album. There are very strong tracks on it which even reminds me of Marbles from time to time.
But the fact is...that it's a bit too long.
It would've been better if they picked the best songs from both albums, put it on one disc and leave the rest as a bonus.

But that's strictly mine opinion.  ;)

And what do you want me to do about my cat, Mad ?

NP  Amaseffer on Youtube

Problem is that only 3-4 of the songs are clear on Youtube. With the rest, you have to do some restoration in your mind.

And on Myspace, there are only parts of songs, which always drives me *¤#%^§!

Well, maybe I just have to get the bloody album  ;D

Best album of 2008 is:

Frost*

With Marillion as a close second.

Neal Morse was a disappointment for me.
Just like The Tangent, actually. But I have to admit that I haven't really listened to that album that much.
Marco Sfogli and Edenbridge were eye-openers for me.

I'm having a Partyshuffle over here at iTunes Towers:
It played me:

Across The Big Uncertain - Kaipa (from "Keyholder")
OSI - OSI - (from "Office Of Strategic Influence")
As Long As We Ride - Spock's Beard (from "Octane")
Don't Hurt Yourself - Marillion (from "Marbles")

And now:
In Earnest - The Tangent (from "A Place In The Queue")

I really like this feature. It makes me listen to songs I rarely listen to, and makes me think "Heck! These are actually great songs! I forgot, but now I remember!"
