Gotta love the keyboards! 8)

Probably my fave moment on that album is the jazz piano bit in the second half of 'Lost in London'  *horns*  I must get some more Tangent stuff - I've only got the one currently! :'(

I just finished the first disc of "Not As Good As The Book" and I had to take the booklet to look up what he sings at the last line of "Bat Out Of Basildon".

"No-one writes those biker songs no more."
But the last time he sings "no more" it sounds like he sings "Neal Morse" and he sings it with a Neal Morse kinda voice. ;D ;D ;D

Did anyone notice this??

It's so funny!! :D

Ayreon - One Small Step

Deenfan

Good heavens, Paco, that's a good song!

PH

::)

That's why I listen to it! ;)

But why do you think it's such a good song that you think it's worth to comment on it?

-Paco

Deenfan

The why in there is hidden somewhere in the explanation on how music works in each of us, and why we don't react identically to the same song. I just think it's one of the best songs I've been treated to the last decade or so. 90% of what I get on albums nowadays is great music that I like listening to, but I wouldn't go as far as saying the songs themselves are all Lennon/McCartney, Simon and Garfunkel, Bjorn & Benny brilliant. I tend to settle for "highly enjoyable" or "fairly likeable". Maybe this is why I like Helloween so much nowadays, even though I get less metal and more Chris Rea by the month: They still serve up the odd superb song.

Just finished playing the song "The Ploughman" by (American) Irish band Solas.
Thanks to my dad I have a love for this kind of music. But Solas is still a bit different as it has also 'newer' instruments like electric guitar and drums.
I like it very much! 8)

At the moment:
Ayreon - The Decision Tree (We're Alive)
