No.  I'd no idea Homer even played guitar ;)

Well, really it was a cake shaped like a guitar.

I've never really got on with most US TV comedy, not that most UK stuff is that impressive either.  But there're some shows I like and The Simpsons is a strong contender for the top of a very short list.

Still playing Bush here (interrupted for a shower) and it's another of those 'forgotten how good this is' moments. *horns*

Most network TV is craptastic.  Once in a while, a gem turns up, usually when someone breaks with tradition and acts like the viewers have brains, or, occasionally, when they make so little pretense at intelligence that it's somehow charming.

Another I've always been fond of, despite all odds, is 'Two and a Half Men' - so much so I almost bought the DVD box set.  Anyway, I'm off now - g'night John-Boy :)

Wow, shows are being exported more quickly nowadays.  It so happens that that's probably my favorite show on TV right now (and one of the few I make any attempt to watch on a regular basis).  That will be all for tonight, Alfred.

It's a good few years since I watched it over here.  Are there still just the two series?

I'll be expecting you then! ;) So far I have box-sets from the first three seasons. I don't really know how many series there are though.

Egad!  In all other respects I'm pleased to say this shows just how divorced from the world of TV I've become! *horns*

NP Megadeth - Rust In Peace

Still on my journey throughout Megadeth's catalogue. I think I won't go further back in time (I mean to their 80's albums) by fear of a cranial thrashma but RIP has its great moments (like  the Tornado Of Souls' solo  that I'm listening to at the moment *horns*), including a few prog rock hints (i.e. on Holy Wars). Some songs are really too fast/brutal for my taste, though (i.e. Take No Prisoners or Rust In Peace) and Mustaine's voice was really tiresome by the time  :P  It's incredible how his singing improved from Countdown to Extinction on !

Previously: Pendragon - Pure.
Now finishing: The Tangent - Not as Good as the Book.

Playing on the iPod as I've only just come in, but I don't think the battery will last until the end of the album :o

What's wrong with Joe Cocker?  I just ripped Mad Dogs and Englishmen last week.  Also, if you ever saw the late John Belushi's Joe Cocker routine from the original Saturday Night Live (they still have a show by that name, but I haven't acknowledged it since the original cast left close to 30 years ago), you have to love him just for being the subject matter.   *horns*

Re: Two and a Half Men:  I don't have an exact season count for you, but it's definitely a lot more than 2 years.  In the recent ones, the "1/2" is a teenager.   ;D
