Message from Bandcamp:
So tomorrow is a good day to support artists, I will purchase a few albums!  *horns*

Currently offline for maintenance ;). I assume it goes well, would be great for the artists during these difficult times. I don't buy downloads though, still prefer the real thing: cd with booklet 8).

I noticed it too that the site had some difficulties yesterday, so I guess it was a success  :)

I persevered and got through, so these are yesterdays purchases (physical cd’s that is, for me as well the preferred format):

Maria Chiara Argiro - Hidden Seas; this is a jazz album actually, that I checked after reading this review on DPRP: https://www.dprp.net/reviews/2019-100#argiro

Exploring Birdsong - The Thing With Feathers; this debut EP I read about in the Dutch prog mag iO Pages, prog pop without guitars, piano takes the lead role instead.

The artist and/or label decides in which format(s) the music is offered, it can be digital only but many sell cd’s and also vinyl (and t-shirts etc). It is a good way to buy directly from smaller artists. Shipping costs vary though depending on the country of origin, sometimes it can be better to opt for regular retail channels.

OK, thanks. Most of the time I buy from my local record shop. Glad that he is still there. Though he had to close his shop, he's selling from his home. But I also buy at concerts from the merchandise 8).

I ordered the new Soulsplitter album through their bandcamp page.
I've already bought a few cd's through bandcamp so I already knew it was possible.

When you're using the bandcamp app, look to the button 'purchase info' and you'll spot the info you need.
Most of the time it's only a digital album but not always.

Yes, it came today: Airbag - A Day At The Beach. And it is even better through the stereo system than on Spotify by headphones. Just wow. They don't repeat themselves, but this album has some new (electronic) influences. A bit eighties ... cool.

I was listening to Kansas a lot last few days, so I decided to affirm my new fandom by buying a boxset consisting of the first nine studio albums and the first live album.
Any Kansas fans here?

Also (and Teunis, you will be very pleased) I decided to get myself a boxset of TOTO with 13 albums (it's called "All In"). Really looking forward to getting into this band properly.

8). I own all their albums, so I won't buy the boxset. Have fun discovering this amazing band *horns* 8).

I've bought the new Lonely Robot album 'Feelings Are Good' today 8).

The Neal Morse Band - The Great Adventour: Live In Brno - 2019  8)

Since a few weeks we own a Blu-Ray player and I immediately ordered this one as it was my favourite 2019 release. Today I picked it up at my local record shop.

September will be an expensive month with releases from The Pineapple Thief, Neal Morse, Gazpacho an Days Between Stations 😀.

I wish you lots of fun with your Blu-Ray player! And a nice release indeed! Any other favourite concert registrations that will get a Blu-Ray update from you?

My latest purchase is the upcoming new solo album by Frank Klepacki (you know, the drummer for Dukes Of The Orient ;D). I'm really looking forward to it. His musical style is very different from anything else I know. He is a big fan of Rush though, and I guess that shows. His music is a mix of rock, industrial, metal and electro (I think that's what it's called).

Thank you *horns*. I won't buy BluRays if I already own the DVD. Fortunately you can play DVD's in a BluRay player ;). I'm thinking of releases that are only available on BluRay, e.g. IQ - Scrape Across The Sky. And maybe Arena - Re-Visited Live! I don't get a 'both DVD and BluRay' release. I would have bought the DVD ages ago if it was released separatedly ... But it will have to wait, as you can read in my previous post September is very expensive for me :).

Yep, I have heard the 2nd 'DOTO' album on Spotify, but I don't find it that good as their debut ...  :-\.

Paid my local record shop a visit yesterday and bought:
The Pineapple Thief - Versions Of The Truth
Neal Morse - Sola Gratia
Gazpacho - Fireworker

Ready to dig into these new albums 8).

Now I have to save money for new purchases  ;).
