Fizbers - First Mind

Neo-prog from Poland. The music is okay, but (again) the vocals are not that great ... ::)

Also listened to it three times now. Indeed a very fine album! I think I might rate it even a bit higher than the previous Lonely Robot albums.
I'm glad that the singles are not necessarily the best songs on the album. I particularly like the song Idlewind.

Second listening and I think you're right with rating it higher than the LR albums.

Already ordered it and expect it to be delivered on Friday. Until then I'll enjoy it on Spotify *horns* 8)

Just finished listening to:
Neal Morse - "Life & Times"
A very nice cd. Very relaxed and good songs. No Prog though, more like his "Songs From November" album. I'm enjoying it a lot. I have tickets for his solo concert in June, in Utrecht. Can't wait! :)

Now listening to:
Tiger Moth Tales - "The Depths Of Winter"
I heard the song Hygge on YouTube a few weeks ago and was sold. I know this guy (Pete Jones) from his guest contributions to Barock Project's latest album "Detachment" which is also fantastic!
(I'm going to see Barock Project this saturday! Excited!)

I don't really understand the appreciation of Kino.
Sadly, though I think I have said otherwise in the past, the same goes for the first album.
Some nice tracks on both albums but not good enough to stand the test of time.

NP Various Artists - Bolan / Bowie - A Tribute To The Madmen

Bought this gem of a triple disc box set after reading a review and seeing and advert in the last issue of iO Pages which made me curious and led me to listening the samples available on the web. A hommage to Marc Bolan and David Bowie by a host of pretty obscure artists on the Italian Black Widow label. I am not that familiar with Bolan's music as I am with Bowie, but the combination works very well here. A cover ideally pays tribute to the original track whilst adding something new/different to it, not much point in slavish copies. This versatile collection does it well and is great, entertaining listening throughout. Add the lavish packaging and the conclusion is that what we have here is a real labour of love that may not get the attention it deserves (all other reviews I could find are in Italian..). Recommended!

And again! The first song Zhivago Wolf reminds me too much of "The Seventh Degree Of Seperation". I will have to listen to that album again to see why exactly. Still a great song though. ;)
The second song however, The Mirror Lies is an instant classic from the start! I love it!!

+2, it is rather good indeed! It is vintage Arena, but also new and fresh at the same time. Lots to discover still, but it's a keeper!
