Yeah, I listened a lot to SS some years ago, when Christian was their fabulous singer. I haven't heard their latest albums tho - yet ....

Well, I must admit that I listened to "The Unseen Empire" (2011) properly, and "Singularity Phase 1: Neohumanity" (2014) only once and liked the former better. Haven't really listened to the older stuff. But still, this year they'll release "Singularity Phase 2" and I'm very curious. It's one of those bands that I'm discovering right now.

And what's your current take on Nevermore ? You probably remember that Jonesy and I were deep into N some years ago. This Godless Endeavor was the one that caught me initially - super album

Yeah, it's cool. I like it. Have only listened to it while doing other things, but I'm sure I'll revisit. I'll let you know.

Have also been listening to The Flower Kings. "Sum Of No Evil" and "Flower Power" today.

I'm mainly listening to Fear Factory studio albums and watching YouTubes with'm. They'v put out nine studio albums, several ep's and odd material, over some thirty years, so there's quite a lot to experience and discover. Whew, what a group !!!

Surprisingly good

I took it as a cheap bonus cd after grabbing two scarce FF cd's (Soul & Hatefiles) in a second-hand store in Cop. All albums surprised me positively.

TIGH sounds very much like the albums made by Slash under his name with Myles Kennedy, Todd Kerns and Brent Fitz (pantheon with me). Singer James Michael even sounds like Myles, and he sings as well, so he goes to my pantheon. However, I miss Slash's tasty solos (Sixx's guitarist DJ Ashba hardly solos at all) and the musical twists and turns that I like with Slash & Co., so Sixx:A.M. don't go quite pantheon with me. But nice for a not too demanding listen


Fear Factory:  Hatefiles

This is a collection of previously unreleased tracks and remixes. I particularly enjoyed Rhys Fulber's remix of the classic song Edgecrusher, which he gives a very catchy rhythm. Also the first track Terminate, which was the last piece done before the breakup in 2002 and tells about it, is super. Great album for the FF fan, but not a good starter album.

Man, am I happy that Burt and Dino made up again in 2009. They upgraded their mastery and became the best band in the world !!!

I wanted to get a live FF album too but was surprised to find out that there is no such official release. One can wonder why   Is it cuz they want fans to have a special experience at their concerts ? Do they consider that their music comes out best with a studio production, and that's the way their fans should experience it (at home) ? I'll have to figure ...
