A very nice album I think. I love how there's an orchestra to back up the band. Might not be as good as the following albums, but it certainly is not bad!

Hey Teunis, today I also played all my 2015 albums in shuffle mode on Winamp. There were two songs by Sylvan passing by. I thought it was alright. What do you think of Sylvan's "Home"?
I have heard mixed things of "Force Of Gravity" and "Sceneries", I really liked "Posthumous Silence" and "Presets". "Home" seems to be the real successor of "Posthumous Silence". The two songs that appeared in my playlist today made me think of Marillion and Pink Floyd, just like "PS".

And what about the new Muse album? I've heard bits and pieces and wasn't convinced, unfortunately. Already wasn't too fond of "The 2nd Law"... I just hope I'm wrong.

What do you think of Sylvan's "Home"?

I have heard mixed things of "Force Of Gravity" and "Sceneries", I really liked "Posthumous Silence" and "Presets". "Home" seems to be the real successor of "Posthumous Silence". The two songs that appeared in my playlist today made me think of Marillion and Pink Floyd, just like "PS".

I have heard 'Home' through 'Allstreaming.nl'. Really like 90% of their music. The 'problem' is often the singer. Some will say he sings with a lot of emotion. I'd call it 'over the top' . That's the main reason my favourite album is 'Presets'. 'PS' did click later, but also on that album lots of overrreacted vocals as I call it.

I was also reserved at first listening, didn't find the first released songs that interesting. But I have to say the most beautiful songs are the unknown songs with as highlight the track 'The Globalist', which lasts for more than 10 minutes! The album is more guitar oriented, back to the roots, as the last two albums were more electronic. Most of the tracks are available on YouTube.

Ah I felt somewhat the same about the vocals. He's not a bad singer for sure, but he does get on my nerves after a while.

jp: Steven Wilson - "Insurgentes". I still think this is his most experimental album. Really like its dark atmosphere.

Yeah, me. Should I? . I remember I have tried some of their music, but I wasn't impressed. I realise that prog needs time, but there are so many bands I do really like .

It's an ok album but I don't find myself playing it often either.

Yes:  Heaven & Earth

First listen

The first song Believe Again ( Davison / Howe ) is simply heavenly - whew - but also earthly in the way that only Yes can be - a super way to get back from travels - Malmö-Stockholm-Umeå-Sundsvall-Trondheim-Oslo-Malmö.

Sounds like it's gonna be another Yes pearl in my cd-collection. A great tribute to Chris, who sadly is no longer with us

There's some good stuff on that disc, for example the song you mentioned, but unfortunately also some not so good stuff.
But still, I like to listen to it! It's perfect for a sunny evening when you're tired.
