What a strange but stunning album this is.
There are some strange elements on the album, gritty and dark concept/tunes but I really like it!

I have also listened to that album because of a sampler. The song Wohin Der Wind Dich Trägt was really nice indeed. I'll have a listen again.

Surprising album by the Dutch master.
To be honest, I hardly every play it, but when I do, it won't get out of the cdplayer for days.
Just one song that is a bit dull (Over) while the others are good to very good.

The no wave scene ? Never heard of it before but it seems to be an interesting concept

No wave music was a reaction against new wave acts, like Talking Heads, signing with record labels, and the use of Chuck Berry guitar riffs commonly used by new wave music groups in the late 1970s. I listened to most of The Great Annihilator. It didn't really enthuse me. But I will return to Swans. We all have had the experience that something didn't click the first time, but then all of a sudden ...
