Anathema - Distant Satellites

Bought it this afternoon, playing it for the 3rd time. It's definitely a grower. Doesn't grip me from the the beginning as much as their previous album 'Weather Systems', but better with each listening. Could be a good sign though . The new Gazpacho did take me several listenings as well, now I love it .

I burned two copies of a compilation album with songs of my choice from all six albums of the Hexalogy - I had discussed it with Byron Roberts - one for Ms 007, cuz Sagoth has become such an important part of my life, then she can take the music in doses and volumes (low) that she likes; and the other for the first person I meet who gets Sagoth - we're obviously not so many

Don't know the 'Impressions' album, but the black and white album are very similar.

NP Angel City - Face To Face (European version)

In memory of Doc Neeson, who sadly passed away last week. The Angels -Angel City outside of Australia- released two of the greatest hard rock albums of the last century, Face To Face and Dark Room. Doc Neeson was a charismatic frontman with a great rocking voice. R.I.P. Doc.

I'm playing "Circus Pandemonium" and it's sooo good! I really like it!

At least give it a chance! And a second chance.

I love the songs The End, A Truly Gifted Man and The Funniest Man Alive. The rest is not bad either. This album is actually very different from A.C.T's previous releases. It's even more story-based than "Last Epic" which was released more than ten years ago already.

At the moment I'm listening to:
IQ - "The Road Of Bones"

Earlier I said this was not going to be my favourite IQ album. I think I should be much more careful in the future, because this album is quickly becoming a favourite after all.
I still regard "The Seventh House" and "Dark Matter" as two masterpieces of today's Progressive Rock. And some of the songs on those albums are perfect examples of what Prog is all about for me.
There are no such songs on this new album (yet). But this new album is very, very nice indeed. It's better than "Frequency". There are no weak tracks and 50 minutes are gone in no time!
I'm now listening to the second disc for only the second time. I focused on the main disc first.

Today I listened to Lunatic Soul's second and third album. I guess I just have to get the first one too, because most people seem to like that one best, and since I love the other two already...
Can't wait for the next album!

I also listened to Devin Townsend's "Ghost".

Yeah, I was in a bit of an ambient mood today.
