Now playing:
Big Big Train - "Far Skies Deep Time"

I guess this is the best EP in my collection. Ermmm... at least when I don't count "Contagious" and "Contagium". ;D
The Wide Open Sea is veeeery nice. It's sad to know that people who don't have this EP miss out on the beauty of these songs. ::)

At the moment I'm predicting Rush to be my next object of a Now Playing post.
Let's see...
Since my recent love story with EEFP, I have been thinking of extending my BBT collection : apart from Far Skies ..., do you have another suggestion ?

NP Kamelot - Poetry For The Poisoned
Great ... artwork  :)

Nicky007

NP  Bal-Sagoth:  Atlantis Ascendant  *horns*

These days I'm hooked on Bal-Sagoth :)

Nobody else wanna try'm out ?

So you've come of age
And so you want to meet God
Sure you can
He's right here next to me

Shamall - Turn Off

Neo-Prog from Germany, keyboard-oriented and very melodious. Mostly instrumental, some female vocals. Like it a lot 8).
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'
-------------------------------------------------------
Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

Bupie

NP Kate Bush - Never For Ever

By the time of its release, I found this album very sophisticated but lacking energy and simplicity : it let me a bit disappointed.

Now, almost 35 years later, I find that it aged very well : it is just great *horns*

Nicky007

NP  Textures:  Dualism

Dutch djent metal band, formed in 2001.

First run, hardly know this band ..... 8)

Probably my personal most listened album ever. And it still rocks big time  *horns*

jp: Airbag - The Greatest Show On Earth
np: Shamall - Turn Off (cd 2)
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'

Of course:
"The Underfall Yard"

That's one of my favourite 2009 releases!
Actually, since David Longdon and Nick D'Virgilio are in the band, they keep making masterpieces, in my opinion.
I'm really looking forward to their next album.

Teunis

Millenium - Reincarnations (Vinyl edition on Progstreamingclassic, relaxing music 8))
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'

Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

Days Between Stations - In Extremis

Favourite 2013 release 8) *horns*

Interesting choice.
It raises four questions:
What are they like?
How do you know them?
What do you like so much about them?
Haven't you listened to Big Big Train? ;)

NP Kate Bush - Never For Ever

In my book, Kate Bush and Robbie Williams did the same thing: They managed to make one really fabulous song, in Kate's case Wuthering Heights, and Robbie's Feel ... and then lost it: Never again would they make anything even close to that magic. Very interesting ???

Groups like Dream Theater and Bal-Sagoth create floods of magic 8)

Well, that is a rather radical statement that you will allow me not to share, at least for Kate :)

NP Megadeth - Peace Sells ... But Who's Buying

What are they like?
According to Progwereld.org the music is a mixture between groups like Genesis, Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson and Van Der Graaf Generator.

How do you know them?
Quite predictable: Progstreaming.com ;).

Quote from: PHWhat do you like so much about them?
It's a very versatile album: ballads, heavier stuff and even a waltz (dedicated to Peter Banks, who also played on this album). And Rick Wakeman did a great solo on the track 'The Eggshell Man'. You can hear it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtBeYotQwEo after about 9 minutes.
A review op DPRP here with a short trailer. The full album is on Youtube by the way.

Quote from: PHHaven't you listened to Big Big Train? ;)
I did, several times because of some enthusiasm on this forum :), but their music doesn't seem to appeal to me ... . I'll give it another try.

X-Panda - Flight Of Fancy

Most prog of today is a mixture of Genesis, Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson and Van Der Graaf Generator... ;)
But Progwereld is pretty positive about them!
