Yesterday eve I played the cd with the ballads from The Essential Collection. Wow, what a joy, songs like Till The End Of Time, Yesterday Lies In The Flames, and Through The Fire 

Hmm, I don't know. I think it's decent, not awesome...

If you don't know the original studio version, it's probably better to start with it, as it's more to the point. The live version is a treat for people who already love this song. So here's for you, Tom:

I played Neal Morse's Testimony Two today.
I think for me it's on the same level as Sola Scriptura. Well done Neal!

Some really catchy parts on this album.
For instance this part that got stuck in my head and is playing over and over in my head now:
"I better stay in here with the pain I know than step into the outside, chance of a lifetime, I better stay in here..."

This Saturday I drove with my Mom to her country house in Sweden. After the ferry ride to Sweden, there was some random stuff on the classical music channel, and then they started gabbering somethin uninterestin, so I thought I'd give it a chance: Stuck in the Stormwarning cd. At first my Mom thought it was rather strange stuff coming outta this channel all of a sudden. I revealed to her that I had snuck in my cd. She accepted that and said that it sounded noisy (not surprising). I told her: Hey, listen to all that melody. OK, she got it somewhat, but then she said that the singin was weird. I read up some stuff, told her that it was from the Apocalypse and stuff. OK, that caught her interest. In any case she didnt ask me at any point to remove it, and we ended up listening to the entire album, which just fitted with the ride thru Sweden to her house. I even caught her headbangin a bit now and then 

The conclusion was that the music was noisy, but it did rock, and the lyrics were interesting 

So who says that one can be too old for metal ?
