- but I guess too heavy for Roomies  :-\

Anyways, I don't any longer care about how popular a group is. I know that artists at the cutting edge are initially usually only appreciated by very few. That's the way it's always been. Fortunately over the decades and centuries, they accumulate recognition  :)

Not too heavy, really. Only too throaty. *burps*

All you need is now by Duran Duran which is a welcome return to form

Thanks for that hint, funky, made my evening :)

If you stilll remember 'em, there's also a german band from those days, who are trying their comeback in 2010, Alphaville:

Zero Hour - Eyes of Denial

nice,  ... :) very DT-ish, but muuuuch more vocal niceness (what a word...), will needs a few spins, though, and will most likely not end up as my daily dish. Also, I tend to get a bit tired of bass drum-machineguns, lately, and need to select wisely, in which music I want to hear it.

What's wrong with a deep throat ?  ;D

OK, Cap, I get it now:  You don't mind "heavy" - Heavy oder was ? - but you do mind growl. OK, I'l keep that in mind  :)

Otoh you'r missing some great music with that filter ... e.g. KoK  ;)

Well, I guess Caps should be allowed some ideosyncrasies  :-X

Here's some more great Radiance - but maybe not quite as good as Burning the Sun:

NP  Judas Priest:  Nostradamus

Cult - mmmmmmm  :)

You guys simply donno what you'r missin  ;)

Priest are going on what they say is their last tour  :'( :'( :'(  the Epitaph Tour. They'r gonna play at Sweden Rock in southern Sweden, and at Copenhell. Guess who's goin  ;)

I guess they didnt get as much recognition for Nostra as they had expected, people had their attention elsewhere ... and this is real sad, cuz it means that they decided to call it quits  :(

They ended up making their greatest masterpiece, and an album that together with Abbey Road, The Wall, Scenes From A Memory, and a few others, will pass into posterity as monuments of a great period of music  *horns*

Well, I don't think that Glenn & Co. will just retire. Let's see what they come up with .....  :)

Reminds me a bit of 3 - am I right there, Tom ?  And the singing of Matt Bellamy ... but else they'r pretty original, and cool  8)

Now that you mention Three (not 3 ;)), I think you're right. They do have something alike, but of course Three is also a highly original band. I've got to listen to them again soon I guess, thanks for the reminder. :)

Too soon to have an opinion on the music. The artcover is great but the booklet is a bit disappointing, both for the content and style.

BTW, Nicky, I am happy to notice that your all-time favorite album has been inspired by a French man  ;D

I'v listened to that album over 100 times now. Still gives me thrills  *horns*

It's more serious than what we're used to from that front. Get into the lyrics, Bups, that's very important in order to internalise the album. It's Christianity for the modern thinking wo/man  ;)

for anyone interested how I create those wonderful "now playing" lines:
I use foobar2000 as audio player, and it allows to press ctrl+c on the played track and ctrl-v will produce the lines you see, after some fiddling with the config :)
