thanks (again) Nicky.

I immediately went to some online-stores but sadly none of them seem to have the album so I'll just keep on searching...

I'm not sure that it's officially released yet. I just read some reviews about it in newspapers and mags. I expect that Amazon.com will have it at some point, as they pretty much have everything.

I'm not gonno actively pursue it currently, as my musical interests lie elsewhere  ;)  but if I get a chance to listen to it, I will  :)

hvis det er okay med dig. ;) I hope Google Translate didn't mess up what I'm trying to say...

Nope, perfect translation (hvis=if, det=it, er=is, okay=okay (surprised?), med=with, dig=you, like "Jeg elsker dig"  ;) ).

Guess you can get Google to translate some of the stuff, and I can help too (send it in pm's). Particularly with this album, I think it's important to understand what he's singing about.

JP: Lis Er Stille - The Collibro

Tom, you'r a lot into Danish music. It would make sense for you to learn some Danish. It's actually not so different from Dutch - both are marshy  ;D

NP  KoK:  Reptilian Majesty  (on repeat)  *horns*

That opening of the Ports to Heaven at the end (after all that noise  ;D ) is simply overwhelming  :)

KoK's Reptilian is my album of the year 2010 - no doubt - with Haken's Aquarius as second. I don't yet know what should be third ... maybe Nevermore's Obsidian Conspiracy, I have to listen to it more, somehow it didnt grip me like This Godless Endeavor and Jeff's solo-album, but that's probably cuz I got my fill of that stuff for a while, I did listen a lot to those two albums (over 100 times).

Looks like my preference is rather heavy currently (altho the quiet moments give me the shivers)  ;)

Now I regret mentioning that I used Google to translate what I wanted to say to you in Danish... :P

Actually you're right, I dig a lot of Danish artists: Mew, Saybia, Lis Er Stille, Carpark North and Tim Christensen to name a few. Too bad I've never been there yet, although I've been thinking about making a citytrip to Copenhagen for quite some time now.

JP: Opeth - Blackwater Park
NP: Opeth - Deliverance
Up next: Opeth - Ghost Reveries

Wow. I really need to listen to Opeth more often.

You know who to contact when plans materialise  :)

I can show you (and yer lady) around to all prog related places. If you'r clever, you'l even organise your visit in connection with a good concert in Cop  ;)

Guys, I found a new group (new to the Room that is): Masterplan.

"Masterplan is a German power metal band founded by Roland Grapow and Uli Kusch upon leaving Helloween." - Wikipedia, Masterplan (band)

Despite them being a German group, they have a distinctive American sound to'm. Guess that's very much cuz they got Jørn Lande singing.

Here's Masterplan's Spirit Never Die  8)

I find it interesting that the Norwegian singers are so good at English. In fact they'r top of the game in all ways. There's Lande, Khan, ICS Vortex, Thebon, and Michael Eriksen, just to name some of those that I listen a lot to.

Good idea. I *may* visit Copenhagen next summer as part of a roadtrip I'm planning together with the bassplayer and drummer of my band. Our plans are still in their early stages but I'll keep you posted.

Then you should really get into Anubis Gate, top-league melodic progmetal for the thinking wo/man (the lyrics are in English), the only Danish band that to my mind is up there with the international biggies (DT & Co.)  ;)

Actually I do since I'm also the singer in my band these days and it's real hard to play lead and sing at the same time! Playing rhythm guitar and singing is easy but our songs need lead guitar! :P

Yeah next week the holidays start (which means that I'll have two weeks off from work) so I'll finally have some time to listen to new bands. I'm really looking forward to it! :)

With me it's the other way round. I've been listening to Opeth a LOT this week, especially Deliverance. It's so heavy and addictive, great! *horns*

Next to Opeth I've been listening to a.o. Between The Buried And Me, Tool, Amorphis, Mastodon, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold and Mutiny Within. Oh, and some A Perfect Circle too, since I got Mer de Noms and eMotive from my brother as a belated gift for my birthday! *horns*

It seems I said goodbye to the 'moderate' stuff (for now)... ;)

You'r French too. I don't know what's worse  :P

But seriously, Bups, I think that's how it is for all of us. Even I can get tired of all that moronic metal banging around. And the growl gets to me too  ;D

Then there's nothing better than Arena's Ascension ... or Lisa Gerrard's Sacrifice. Give it a listen, Bups, really  ;)

And you too, Tom ... or else I'l start callin you a French Fry  ;D

So you know what's on the program now, Tom. It all begins and ends with K. Practice: "K, OK!  K, OK! ....."

Just fasten your seat belt, and YouTube "Kalessin Majesty", and you'r ready for "a helluva ride" - Dr. Mad of MadWorld. You can even Ctrl-C this. Then you might even deserve a cold beer when ya get to Cop  ;)

JP  Hawkwind:  Epocheclipse – 30 Year Anthology  (3 cd's)

Unusual, and occasionally rocks ... but after having done some 5 hours of Hawkwind, I think I have enuff for a while  :)

NP  Into Eternity:  Buried in Oblivion

This is the group that I like best in this metal department, more than BTBAM and Shadows Fall.

Of course, if we count in Trivium, then their Shogun is way above all else (imo)  *horns*
